OK! magazine smoked its competition this year and scored three celeb baby exclusives in a row this summer.
Jamie Lynn Spears and baby Maddie graced the July 21st issue, Jessica "Don't Call Me Latina" Alba and Honor Marie were on the cover of the July 24th mag and Matthew McConaughey and babe Levi strutted their stuff on the August 4th cover.
According to the NY Post, the early estimates suggest that the issues sold well above the average, but with the exception of Jamie Lynn Spears, probably did not offset the prices paid by the magazine to snag the stars' babies.
Ha! Little Spears beat Alba!
The Jamie Lynn issue sold an estimated 750,000 copies on newsstands.
OK! was said to have paid $1 million to first break the news that she was pregnant, followed by the baby photo.
We're sure the Brangelina Wonder Twins issue will shatter all 'baby exclusive' sales records! Those pics went to a diff mag.

BUT ON tomorrow , Sunday you can go to People.com and see the picx. on line before the issue comes in your mail on Thurs. or Friday. Think they went for 13 or 14 million, BUT, the fee was split between People and either Hello or Ok…[forget which of the two English ones] It was on my home page news today from USA today, i think… You probably already know this but am putting it here just in case… mm. ct.
I think that you should only sell your baby pictures if the money goes towards a worthwhile charity.. Maybe helping starving kids in africa? Helping animals?

Because here in the USA we get our magazines in the mail before the actual date.. I got my US on Thurs, in the mail & my People on Friday [yesterday] and both are dated AUGUST 11, 2008. The magazines are always dated ahead…. kind of like they tell us we're pregnant 9 months when it's really 10 mths. well that example is in reverse but same principle… So today's August 2nd for about 3 more hrs in the East Coast, and I've already read August 11ths' issues. Perez didn't mess up the dates. Magazines have been doing this forever. The monthly ones are a month ahead, the weekly ones a week ahead………cover date that is. And you can read them on line the Sunday before so tomorrow you can go to People.com and see the pictures of the Jolie-Pitt family. Hope you understand our system but if you're in Europe your Hello and OK should be dated the same as they most certainly are in the US. mm.Ct.
