Getting back to her roots!

On Saturday, Madonna attended the Traverse City Film Festival, a Michigan film festival founded by fellow native Michael Moore.

She's looking better but still…..tired.

Madonna was there to introduce her Malawi orphan documentary, I Am Because We Are, before a Saturday evening screening held as part of the film fest.

According to reports, hundreds of fans cheered from behind barricades as Madge stepped out of a black sport utility vehicle that pulled up in front of the theater screening her movie. She hugged a waiting Michael Moore and posed for photos with the outspoken filmmaker.

Her Madgesty was accompanied by her daughter, Lourdes.

Did Guy have to stay back to watch their sons Rocco and David Banda????

We were there! I have a new found respect for Madonna. I have never been a fan of her "music".

Finally, someone with name & fame and $ actually doing something that has an actual purpose. Her movie was stunning, -she was gracious, articulate and most probably directed alot of people into wanting to do more.

I truly was moved by the movie, and have a new opinion of Madonna , the person. I was proud to have my 14 year old daughter with me.

By the way, Madonna announced she is including Michigan on her next tour - something she has not done in a very, very long time. Gayle Smith

I use that root touch-up stuff before colorings but I don't know how well it would look on hair that light. She may have bleached hair. Madonna had a much cuter hair style before. It was kind of shaggy with long bangs. This parted in the middle style isn't the best on her. Those roots are ready to be done.

I was there, and she looked WAY HEALTHIER in person than in this photo.
She was also very inspiring to listen too. She and Moore talked about how hard it is to stick your neck out there and be put through the hate machine. Her film was also deeply moving. You did see David for a moment, and it is hard to imagine anyone not wanting to adopt him. He was living at an orphanage being raised by a nine year old girl. Moore said after the film that he was sorry about the way the media mangled the story.

My favorte part? Madonna came out and siad "You can take the girl out of Michigan, but you can't take Michigan out of the girl."
