The Sex and the City movie is a gift that just keeps on giving!

The E! network just paid the SATC movie suits $7 million for the right to show the flick a few times on the cable network.

E! won't even have the rights ’til after the film makes its cable TV premiere on the USA network.

Crazy!

Good investment???

not sure - because I'm guessing most die-hard fans will buy the DVD… and the semi-fans will just borrow it from them It would only be a good deal if it was released on TV before DVD…

Not a good investment at all. How long does it take for the movie to get on cable to begin with???? By the time they get the rights, it will be 2-3 years down the road from the original release. $7 million is way too much to wait that long. Don't get me wrong the movie was pretty good, but I wouldn't waste that kind of money for something that won't earn the network near as much in turn around!

I do not think so!!! First it is going to be shown in another channel . Secand I didn't see the movie cuz I am a women and I think this women are the worst! picture of women. I got out of taking my wife to the theater when it was showing but I doubt I can get out of watching it on cable! I should get some of that $7m for having to sit through it. She made me get Kim Cattrall’s voice on our GPS too. We got it from Navtones.com and I will have to admit that is pretty dam cool. I like the sexy Kim Cattrall voice but I also got Mr. T, the real celebrities. Nice!
