In a new interview with Hello magazine, the actress says:

"If they had been concieved through IVF, we would have been happy to discuss it. But we have been fortunate never to have had fertility problems."

they did not have IVF but Angelina was taking CLOMID which stimulates the production of more eggs per month, hence increasing the odds of multiples. So yes, the twins were probably CONCEIVED natrually but Angelina taking clomid is why twins resulted and clomid is taken usually by women who cannot get pregnant easily by themselves as was speculated regarding Angelina's low body weight at the time.

Twins are extreamly uncommon, she is horrifically thin, and works out too much there is no way that she conceived without some medical assistance. Fraternal twins run on the mother's side of the family….it has something to do with the release of more than one egg at the time of fertilization (two eggs are fertilized). Identical twins do not run in families, they are spontaneous and random (One egg is fertilized with two sperm).
