Of course whenever we discuss Artie, there is always the possibility of Rehab. However, as an avid listener, I believe that Artie is really sick. He has such poor eating habits, and he simply does not take care of himself properly. His body is rebelling against him. I love cuddlymuffin (as George Takei calls him) and I hope he is on the mend.
I think Artie downgrades Sterns show. He isn't even funny. Stern, I think you need to get rid of him.

He was in Regina, SK Sunday night…he played at Buffalo days (our exhibition)
now that we have all registered… can we pleeeeeeeeeease try to lay off the whole "FIRST!" thing? especially when most people who write it are usually the 30th+ post. its soooo annoying.

They said he'd be back for the story Monday, I don't think rehab lasts only a week. He wouldn't suddenly cancel all his gigs and the Bob Saget roast for it.. probably just sick.

Not sure why you may think he's missing? pretty sure he was on the show last thursday and for some god for saking reason they are off this week. but rehab, probably not seriously he's just so unhealthy.
I love Artie, but I think he's just being LAZY!! And I'm very suspicious that Howard & Beth got married!!! He WAS talking about getting his "B" tat last week. And they never announced that they were on vacation AGAIN this week. I'm just saying…………..
Well last week I swear to God there was something going on. Howard was annoyed with him and he rambled more than usual, nothing had any point and he kept losing the plot, again, more than usual. I think he's been using for a long time and taking the Subutex to come down. Hell, he calls in sick so often, not to mention falls asleep there's no point in pretending Artie is coping, his increased mentions of Dana (his former girlfriend) also make me think he is using/depressed.
The show is on vacation this week, has the news said something about him being MIA???? I love Artie!
First, the Stern Show is on a one-week, not two-week vacation.
Second, Artie's not a part of the family/inner circle that will be attending/attended Howchie and Beth0's private wedding (assuming it's this week and wasn't last month).
Third, either Artie got all stressed about his scary book and OD'd — which isn't out of the realm of possibility given how *animated* and obviously high he was in the 3 weeks before this vacation and given his history of getting hooked on heroin when he was stressed about Beer Ball (his movie) –
OR/and Artie finally figured out that he needs rehab. He never went when he got off heroin; he just used (and later abused) Subutex and never got to whatever issues he was medicating himself to escape. The fact that his drug usage affected the Afghanistan/Middle East shows (he got loaded on Valium and was almost arrested) AND THE STERN SHOW for the last 3 weeks might have been the final wake up call his family needed to get him into intervention.
As any longtime listener knows, almost every time Artie's been *sick* it was drug related.
This is a classic radio stunt. They are simply on vacay and will return in a week or two. Enjoy the 'best-of's'….
The show is vacation AGAIN. I'm guessing Howard and Beth O. are getting married!

first of all … im sick of one and two week vacations it's bad enough they have off all fridays. Second i think the beer ball comment was supposed to be a pun on the real title beer league.. third i hope artie is in rehab i think he probably got sick from all the drugs and alcohol possibly od'd and had no choice but to go to rehab and lastly i hope howard and beth o did get married its about damn time…

Another thing besides the drug abuse lately is this "survivor guilt" he has about his father, and not being there to hold the ladder, waaaa. Both he and Howard make me sick with their constant whining about their daddy issues. The only one who has any legitimate right to complain about their father is Robin, yet she's the only one who never, ever mentions it truly seems to enjoy her life..
Please… he's performing at the MGM Grand at Foxwoods this upcoming Saturday…

WRONG. Nice try at misinformation.
Artie cancelled both of the shows this weekend. He had Levy post that they're cancelled — without explaining why — at the Miserable Men site and at SFN.
If the shows aren't cancelled, that'll be news to Bob Levy and the rest of the guys who were planning to make some money — and now can't since Artie pulled out.
