Rockers Metallica are set to come out with a new album. Their first in a long time!

Their last album, St. Anger, was released back in 2003.

And, finally, 5 years later, the band is releasing Death Magnetic ,which was produced by Rick Rubin.

The album will be released by Warner Bros. on September 12th.

The disc will also feature a song titled The Unforgiven III, which is a "sequel" of sorts to 1991's The Unforgiven and 1997's The Unforgiven II.

The first single from Death Magnetic will be The Day That Never Comes, which will have its video debut soon.

As for Metallica, they're currently performing at a few festivals.

People still listen to Metallica, right?

Local reporter: Saying that Metallica's metal died with Cliff Burton means you clearly have not listened to "And Justice for All". That is Metallica's heaviest album, and Burton had only contributed music to one song on that album.

Love Metallica but without Jason Newsted, it's not worth it. Robert Trujillo is a decent bassist, but he can't hold a candle to Newsted. This album would have to be something really major to get me to listen to much less buy any new Metallica music.
