Scarlett Johansson has finally revealed how she felt about the media frenzy that surrounded her so-called 'email relationship' with presidential candidate Barack Obama:
"It seemed to me to be like a product of extreme sexism, and I kept thinking to myself, 'God, if this was just, like, Kal Penn or George Clooney or any of the other (Obama) surrogates or supporters … there wouldn't be (any) question about it. Nobody would even talk about it…I was merely trying to express my delight at Obama's commitment to his campaign in every aspect and his interest and his support (in) his surrogates and his staff and his fellows, and how wonderful and refreshing that is. And it was manipulated into such an unfortunate media frenzy of kind of a nonstory."

Well, when your name is Scarlett Johansson, you look the way you do, and make the kind of movies/music video you do…honey, this is what's' gonna happen when you start talking about your own politics and affliations with candidates. She's seems like an eloquent person, and frankly a seasoned veteran in the "fame game" that I'm surprised she was taken aback by the reaction to her comments. I definitely agree with her, but honestly, she should look at the context of the situation and the state media is with our female celebs. It's a no-win situation when you talk about religion, politics, and sex. I praise her in being honest and bold, but don't be surprised with the consequences, that's all.

I thought the media blitz was about how she exagerrated her friendship with Barack. She was bragging about having an e-mail relationship with him and he denied it. She be a bullshitter and got called out on it. Not sexism.

i agree it was sexism, but i think you're the last person who should be analyzing how sexist the media is. you would never treat a guy like you do miley, vanessa, or samantha ronson. and there is no girl you would treat as well as you do zefron, chace crawford, or david beckham.
