They want her bad!
The Feds appear to be convinced that Mary-Kate Olsen knows more than she says she knows about the circumstances surrounding Heath Ledger's death and drug use.
According to Access Hollywood, the tiniest Trollsen has been issued a subpoena by the Drug Enforcement Administration office in New York, requiring her to testify in front of a grand jury.
However, no timeline for when Olsen might be called to testify was provided.
MK's lawyer already issued a statement on Monday saying she's revealed all she knows.
But, then, why would she say she'd talk more if she was given immunity?
Sounds like there's more to be said and it looks like the Feds may get it out of MKO sans the immunity she wants!

saw something on tv yesterday that said it was normal to ask for imunity before testifying before a grand jury, because they can ask almost anything and no one wants to implicate themseves. what are they really going to find? A dr that prescribes without seeing? Heath was known to have drug problems and he was alone when it happened

Dammit, just tell them the truth, no matter how ugly it is. It's the easiest thing to remember. Then the Feds will get off her back and Heath can rest in peace.

She could have supplied Ledger with the illegal OxyContin, and that's why she doesn't want to talk. She will be prosecuted if that's the case.

If you're called to testify before a grand jury, you claim 5th Amendment Privilege. The prosecutor can, at that point, get an order of immunity from a judge which compels your testimony, but you're immune from the use of your testimony against you (and any evidence derived from the use of your testimony). It can only be used to prosecute you for perjury or to impeach you if you later say something different on the witness stand.

To request immunity is a smart thing to do. She more than anyone is under heavy pressure simply because the masseuse called her of all people. It begs the question, why her? Was she the last person he called? Visited? etc.
Maybe that is the question the Feds want to throw at her, especially if it turns out that they talk quite frequently. It's all speculation at this point. That's my 2 cents w/o assuming too much.
They'll have to get her the yellow pages to sit on.

There is a Fifth amendment for a reason, and it is not to protect criminals from saying anything. It's to help innocent people from accidentally saying something that implicates them in a crime. Like Justtfax said, just because she asks for immunity does not mean she's guilty.
What if she wasn't around when Heath died because she's actually a lesbian and was fucking a girl? Would YOU want that in official, unsealed, open-to-the-public court documents? No.
It's perfectly okay to ask for immunity. If you are ever questioned by police, you NEVER EVER EVER ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS, EVEN IF YOU ARE INNOCENT without consulting and having your lawyer present. Lawyers NEVER let their clients talk to police.
Well those are my two cents… even IF she provided drugs to Heath, she can deny it. What proof do they have… So just deny it all day long.
Second, Heath medicated his insomnia and was probably had a high tolerance towards drugs. That doesnt make him a druggie. He was relief seeking… and overall, this story is just very sad.

Seriously, if there is something more to Heath's tragic death then she should tell all she knows regardless. I mean, he left his baby girl in this cold ass world. She's going to grow up without her father and there are going to be so many times she is going to wish he was here. So if MKO has something she needs to get off her chest she should. It shouldn't take her standing in front of a grand jury to do that.

Lets face it, she most likely is the person who supplied him with the drugs, which she either obtained from multiple doctors, or through other "fun" sources. She needs to get over herself. The fact is she very well could play a big part in being responsible for his death. What makes her seem like even more of a troll is the lengths she is going to protect herself. It is probably more about not getting sued for being a part of a wrongful death than anything else.
