i think this kwame thing is getting out of control, for real. The media is also getting out of control too. He crosssed the border to handle business on the tunnel deal…if he would of let the prosecuting atttorney konw he would of told someone else and it would of efffed up the deal. he did what he thought was right..and it backfired on him. there are other ways of handling this…they revoked his traveling…giles could of put a tether thing on him and let it go.

This fucknut is an embarrassment to the city of Detroit and to the State of Michigan. He is trying to be a hard ass and wont resign from Mayor. He has costed the city of Detroit millions of tax payer dollars covering up his personal wrong doing. It's about damn time…Granholm needs to grow a pair and remove him from office immediately. Make him pay the $8.6 million to the whistleblowers. This shiat has gone on for far too long and I'm pissed that the rest of us are now paying for it. I don't think it matters anymore. Detroit is a lost cause and Michigan itself isn't far behind. Granholm has been a horrible governor…it's been 5 years…and I've been blown away… at how bad things have become. Odds are good that in the next 4 years I'll be leaving the state I was born, raised, lived and worked in most of my life.

Hey Kwame, I hate you and I hope the relatives of whatever hookers you've had killed put it to you tonight. You've taken a city that was at least holding a status-quo from Mayor Archer and destroyed whatever respect the region still held or had a chance of recovering. I used to tell people when they asked me, that I was from Detroit, now I make sure I just say Grosse Pointe so there's no confusion. Thanks, you arrogant Douchebag.

I live about 2 hours from Detroit ( I don't go there though because no one with class really ever goes there on purpose ) and that city is a rat hole, and that dude was the main rodent!! I think they should throw one of those glass domes ( like from the simpson movie ) around the whole damn welfare infested area.

This is not the first time he has violated his bond. The first incident was a few weeks back when he shoved an officer from the county sheriff's office while they were trying to serve a subpeona related to the shady dealings Kwamee has made with his friends and family. This is the second time; going over the United States border to Canada (albeit it is only across the water) to try to revive a deal that will cost the city an asset (the Tunnel to Canada), but provide a temporary way to continue to pay for his friends and family in various positions of authority in the city and award more contracts to them.

The rumor in Detroit right now is that he will be arraigned on criminal charges for assulting the officer (another felony) tomorrow by the state's attorney general. I've seen the inside of Wayne County Jail. It is disguesting and dirty. I would not wish it on anyone to stay there for a night. However, maybe the spotlight that his stay is throwing on Detroit will encourage all of us here to stand up and get this guy out of office.

kwame and granholm are quite possibly the worst things that ever happend to michigan. it would be so nice if detroit was a desirable place to visit like chicago or new york but form what kwame has achieved or the last five years, or the lack of achievement, there's no way detroit can turn it around in the next decade. and being born into a family that is entirely involved in politics, and has a very strong pull in michigan, i know for a fact that bitch we call governor, has had plenty of oppurtunities

Re: Littlesquirrel23 – There are some good spots in Detroit in the downtown area, the part that is the worst is in the outlying areas is where everything is messed up. You can still have a lot of fun in Detroit just don't venture into the hood.

First of all I was born in the D and I am damn proud of it. What has been happening lately is a discrace to Detroit. Behind the actual story is the entire Kilpatrick family… they are all screwed up and screwing the state up! I was also at the Lions game tonight and I am so glad to be seeing all other Detroiters agree when i say FUCK KWAME!
