No matter how much progress is made in society, there's still going to be those crazy asses out there.
Raymond Hunter Geisel, of Marathon, FL was arrested Thursday and held on charges after telling classmates at a bail bondsman training seminar that he would kill Presidential hopefull Barack Obama is he was elected.
WTF!
These threats come just days before Obama is scheduled to visit Florida.
Even more disturbing is that fact that authorities say after searching his vehicle and hotel room, Geisel was found to have a 9-mm handgun, ammunition, and other weapons.
Further searching found ammunition that included armor-piercing and rifle bullets. He even had body armor, a machete, police-style emergency lights, body armor, and two canisters of tear gas, among other military-style weapons.
Shit, he had enough ammo there for a small militia!!!!!
The Secret Service filed an affidavit in the U.S. District Court claiming that Geisel threatened to "kill, kidnap and cause bodily harm upon a major candidate for president of the United States, that is, Senator Barack Obama."
According to the classmates, sometime over the last weekend of July, the 22 year-old Geisel used a racial slur towards Obama and then proceeded to say, "if he gets elected, I'll assassinate him myself."
And, according to another classmate, one day after training, she claims she heard Geisel say "that he hated George W. Bush and that he wanted to put a bullet in the president's head."
That sounds like shit-talking to us. But this douche clearly needs psychological counseling!
Then, during an interview with the Secret Service, Geisel claims he couldn't remember if he made the threats against Obama and Bush, but he did say that "if he wanted to kill Senator Obama he would simply shoot him with a sniper rifle." He then claimed it was a joke.
If the Secret Service has you under questioning for threatening to kill the President, that's not a time to try and be funny.
And according to Geisel, he suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder, which affects his memory. He added that he had even checked himself into a psychiatric institution for treatment. Though he couldn't provide the names to any facilities he had been to.
As for the weapons, his excuse was that the gun he was using for target practice during training and that he used to use a machete and a hatchet for cutting through brush when he lived in Maine.
Geisel moved to Floriday in January of this year. He's currently unemployed and lives on a sailboat.
For those reasons, the judge decided yesterday to hold Geisel in jail until his trail as he might be a flight risk.
Geisel is scheduled to appear in court later this month on August 18th.

The world sucks, because it puts up with discriminate behaviour such as racism and homophobia. But we have to also see that racism isn't just from whites, many black, asian, hispanic and etc people can also be very racist too, it's just there is hardly portrayed in the media. Homophobia is disgusting just as much as racism, people who think that somebody should be killed because of their sexuality is disgusting.

i actually despise OBama and i don't think him or McCain really will bring alot of positive changes to our country, but he should be able to speak and feel safe. Some people these days make me embarrassed to be an American. If our fore fathers that founded this country saw how politics are ran today, they would be disgraced.
For some silly reason when I first saw him running I felt relief and thought wow, finally. But never did I think (assassination) (for being half black). How innocent of me, for some reason I thought America might have made it to the “next” level, but we have barely just begun and if he is elected he will have to constantly 27/7 have to watch his back and subsequently waste millions of American tax dollars on security, body guards, protection, bullet proof EVERYTHING. Unfortunately, I have a feeling this guy isn't the only one out there. There are too many "neo nazi" types who feel the same way (of note: 1 is considered too many in my book). I will be voting for Obama and I worry even now for he and his family. If someone can reach over and slice their neighbor's head off on a bus, why is the idea of an assassination attempt just "shit-talking"?
