Such sad news.
Comedian Bernie Mac died early Saturday morning from complications due to pneumonia.
This was confirmed by his publicist.
He was only 50-years old.
As y'all know, the funny man had been hospitalized for about a week.
A few years ago, Mr. Mac disclosed that he suffered from sarcoidosis, a rare autoimmune disease that causes inflammation in tissue, most often in the lungs. However, his reps claimed early on that the bout of pneumonia he was fighting had nothing to do with the sarcoidosis.
He's survived by his wife Rhonda McCullough, their daughter, Je'Niece, a son-in-law and a granddaughter, Jasmine.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

Yup, I usually agree with P on everything but his accusations regarding drugs is hurtful. Bernie was super cool and worked is ass off. Maybe P should apologize?!
Goodbye Bernie. YOu will be sorely missed. YOu were a fine gentleman and actor.
It's a shame that the media will not honor your passage with the same energy that the lesser Heath Ledger got!

If it were the people you mentioned that were in rehab yes we would chuckle if he said pneumonia was code for rehab But Bernie was NEVER THAT GUY! Perez was an asshole for that comment and it's not good to LIE when you claim you r reporting NEWS!

I liked him as an actor, his eyes were just too funny. So sad to see him go, and to never see anymore movies with him in them.
my condolences to his family, who are grieving.
