There's always drama around The Donald!
Donald Trump is suing his old attorneys at the firm of Morrison Cohen for $5 million, saying the firm's use of his name on its website and in interviews violated his privacy.
Donald's suit claims the attorneys have unjustly made money by using his name and image without his consent "for advertising purposes".
His suit says: "Defendants, without Trump's written consent, have used — really commercially exploited — Mr. Trump's name and reputation, and continue to do so, on Morrison Cohen's website…"
On Monday, the law firm dismissed the lawsuit as an attempt by Trump to avoid paying $600,000 in overdue legal fees.
"We are pursuing our collections claim, we are adamant that we get paid for the services rendered, and we view this claim by the Trump organization as completely frivolous," said the firm's chairman.
Isn't there a client-attorney confidentiality rule or something out there?
Are lawyers allowed to say who they're representing without their client's permission?
Wonder who'll win this battle!

I just went on that site and there is no metion of Donald Trump. I even filled his name in the search box and it came up empty.

If they represented him in court, their name would be public record, as attorney of record is public….
i do think it is sort of tacky to mention trump on their site though….they should have made a deal with him to do that…he whores out everything, so i'm sure he would have agreed to it…
Attorney-client privilege varies from state to state but it generally only applies to communications between a client and his/her attorney as it pertains to protection of the client's constitutional rights. The attorney's identity has nothing to do with anything. The Donald is just pissed because he's lost a shitload in the market and he's trying to pinch his pennies. He's an asshole with no loyalty; note that he didn't give a damn about them "explloiting his image" when those same attorneys were representing him…

If he didnt want his name used he would have paid his bill and nicely asked them to stop. Instead this stupid story is now on 100's of websites and news wires and the law firm got more publicity than they could have ever paid for.

i met him in fort lauderdale at his club Mar a Lago.. and apparently, according to gossiping women who go to there say that his marriage has completely fallen apart. its a matter of time before they announce it. it was march when i heard all of this, and they said they were staying together just for the daughter's wedding. so, look for the announcement soon?
