Does John Edwards really think he can hide from the truth?
Last Friday, the sleezy politician admitted to his long-rumored affair with former campaign staffer Rielle Hunter and to paying her a visit at the Beverly Hills Hilton last month.
But, discrepancies between his story and timelines being offered by 'insiders' makes us not want to trust the former senator AT ALL.
According to a new report, a former close friend to Hunter named Pigeon O'Brien said Monday that the former presidential candidate’s affair began “long, long, long” before the ho was hired to work for the Edwards campaign. O'Brien said she felt like she had to speak out because of all the false crap Edwards has been feeding us!
Edwards claimed that the relationship began only after Hunter was hired to film him for a series of campaign documentaries:
By the time Hunter was signed on to the Edwards campaign as a videographer — for a fee of $114,000 — O’Brien said they were already in a steamy relationship.
“The affair began before she was hired to work for the campaign,” said O’Brien who said this inconsistency is what prompted her to come forward with her story, after hearing Edwards state the affair started after Hunter started working with the former senator.
O'Brien said that they were seeing each other on a regular basis from early in the realtionship. "She said that he was in love with her and she was in love with him and that the relationship was solid," said O'Brien.
The source also points out that Edwards likely lied about the circumstances surrounding his visit with the 'former' mistress at the BH Hilton.
The fallen Democrat said on Friday, “I had been in Los Angeles that day to do an event with the mayor, and that afternoon I got a call in my hotel room from a gentleman named Bob McGovern. … And he asked me to come and meet with them.”
But, a National Enquirer reporter said in July that they got a tip “a while ago” that Edwards would be at that hotel, and that “we had some time to implement a plan.”
The Enquirer reporter said the tip came within the week, suggesting that the tab had more than an afternoon to organize its stakeout.
Looks like Johnny boy is on the road to completely losing ALL credibility!
