This is common in many countries. It's unacceptable and sad…. still common. There is no seperation of church and state there so they carry out their laws to their religious standards.

  4. 4

What America is doing all over the world isn't acceptable neither…

  5. 5

Whether they are gay or not, this is definitely unacceptable.

  6. 6

yeah thats pretty messed up….thank GOD I was born and live here in the good ol' US of A!

  7. 7

OMG that is horrible…. How can that judge sleep at night. And the man that made up such a story. It sickens me, how some countries live and judge everyone…I am so thankful to be Canadian!!!

  8. 8

What about what Russia is doing to Georgia at the moment? That lady sitting bloodied in the rubble of what was once her apartment building will stay with me forever. Shit is just bad, man. Meanwhile, we all go off to play some games in Beijing and pretend all is okay..

first of all, you need to stick to what you do worst. gossip. you have no handle on politics. and did you even read the story? it made no sense. you make fun of lindsey and samantha ronson for being gay but you now find a reason to stand up for this? i mean, being gay is fine. but dont talk shit on some people and then stand up for others. get your position right you fucking asshole.

This is why so many immigrants want to come to our country. Sad but it so often in many religions.

  12. 12

So, they are the jury, judge and executioner? This is totally out of line. You will definetly see human rights groups get involved.

Wow this is very sad. May thoughts and prayers go out to anyone who loses their life and not being guilty.

  14. 14

    You act like you're surprised.

    Re: jujuJenne
    Hi, I'm NonCyBoy!
I LOVE CANADA a whole lot.
Toronto is especially FIERCE. The shopping in Yorkville! The gay bars along Church St! The divine MEN! Getting the SEX ON with one or MORE of them
at THE ROYAL YORK! (Which is a really great place by the way
to perform my "Backwards Cowgirl" I saw demonstrated on "Talk Sex with Sue"–oh she's another reason to LOVE Canada!)
    Oh, the list is ENDLESS.
    :)
IRAN on the other hand contributes a RELIGION that is way more
effed up than most–not to mention a whole lot of DUST.
I DO LOVE ALL MY QUEER IRANIAN BROTHERS AND SISTERS, THOUGH.
I'VE KNOWN QUITE A FEW AND THEY'RE ALL SWEET AS PIE–my friend ROSHAN was especially pretty and vivacious and her family got her the hell out of there!
    Love, NoncYboY

Re: The Warden – Actually, no, a gay person's problem is self-hating closet cases like you who in their whole lives will contribute less to the world than a millipede.

  17. 17

It's ethnocentric to judge them: we're not part of their culture. Granted, I, personally, find it horrific, but I am American, I am not there.

  18. 18

This is what we'll get if Sharia law is allowed in the U.S. No evidence but 'based on the "judges" understanding of the case.' Whoever paid them the most.

  19. 19

In the Muslim culture, emotion carried more weight than rational logic and proof. It's a completely different culture. I mean two women are equal to one man in court because a women is considered forgetful. If she remembered how painful labor was, she wouldn't have any more children after the first one.

Al - Jazerra iz reporting that Georgia attack Russian peace keeperz
firzt..then Ruzzia attacked them..evidently we had 1000 troopz there before all thiz happened and we even gave them gunz/Georgia…perez…y are we in thiz thing with Ruzzia?
    zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Iranz Amademajad…iz zhort and the way thoze guyz
    zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
go around ”kizzin” each other on the face..
    zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
    that zhit lookz gay 2/me…
    zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

  21. 21

WTF do you expect them to do, put him in jail with lots of other men? That's no punishment. So, the penalty fits.

  22. 22

My heart goes out to those boys. No one should have to suffer like that.

  23. 23

And what about that whole nuclear thing that's going on?! If this gets you to notice how messed up Iran's system is then so be it.

  24. 24

Re: Quasimofo – Dear, just because you caught your father blowing the town wino, don't "project" your issues on all the marvelous gays!

  25. 25

Iran and its laws and people are ridiculous. And I included the people because they allow this shit to happen

  26. 26

Re: Giorgina Angela – I agree with you….what Russia is doing, in the small nation of Georgia, is absolutely horrendous. It's like the older, bigger bully beating up the smaller, younger child in a schoolyard.
But, please, don't assume that ones fascination, with Beijing and the Olympics, can ever take precedence over our concern with what is going on, in the rest of the World. In fact, I can go online, and find out the latest news, concerning Georgia, while watching the Olympics on TV….and, vice versa.
The Olympics is a 2 week diversion….and, there are still 50 other weeks, where we can focus 24/7 on war, death and destruction. I think that we are entitled to this particular diversion.

  27. 27

Why people don't get it that everyone come to this world born with different sexual orientation as race and shapes! People need to stop playing God and leave everything to the creator !!!

  28. shen! says – reply to this

    28

ridiculous and sad. what harm are they, or any gay individuals, doing to others? none. people should not be persecuted for their feelings towards others. like fuck that. seriously.

it's effed up. and again, very sad.

  29. 29

What does Iran do that IS right? :( Perez mentioned what's going on in Venezuela the other day. . . keep in mine that Hugo Chavez and
Ahmadinejad are all "buddy-buddy" with each other. That's a scary thought. Thank GOD I live in America!

  30. 30

Re: DSummerfan – Yeah. Hear, hear.

  31. 31

It's only homosexuality that matters, isn't it Perez? Never mind that Iran has been committing atrocities against women for the country's entire history. You're a one-issue asshole, asshole.

  32. 32

I would support the law if Perez was convicted.

  33. 33

    that is so sad.

  34. 34

Now will you stop bitching about the USA?

  35. 35

This is awful. What a sad thing. To kill for sexual orientation is despicable. Another reason to thank God for our freedoms in the USA.
I can't believe how horrible this is, it's bringing tears to my eyes. We need to all understand that God loves us whether we acknowledge it or not. We are all sinners, but the good Lord loves us. Even if you are not "religious" you are supposed to love the sinner, even if you hate the sin.

  36. DaLa says – reply to this

    36

Perez, do you ever crack a newspaper? Sad as this outrage is, it's kind of small potatoes when you consider you're talking about a country that's threatening to wipe another country off the face of the earth. You expected rational behavior from them?! Really?!

  37. 37

ha perez, you finally get it!! Though its not just in Iran, it's Iraq &, Afghanistan too, homosexuality is automatic death (as is a woman's infidelity proven or otherwise, in fact the husband has the right to kill her). And still some folks call these people civilized. Yes, these killings are the acts of poor, he was a good boy, woe is me Iranians. Please. Hopefully more of ya'll will see the light that the people we're fighting over there, aren't so innocent and genteel after all.

  38. 38

Re: hyde30 – Um excuse me? Iran has had an Islamic government for less than 30 years. Iran is a country that has a history of more than 5,000 years. Catch up on history because you will know that Iran actually had treated women pretty well before the Islamic Revolution of 1979.

  39. 39

Re: CoDy A – Do you honestly think these issues are posted in the Iranian press? No. Only people outside of Iran know that people are killed for being homosexuals. The section of the Ahmadinejad speech when he talked about Iran having no gays was never broadcasted in Iran. Do your research first before blaming people…and I'm sure with the horrible economic standpoints around the world today and MANY ways the government controls people (in the USA as well) will make people be shut.

  40. 40

This news is very sad, but at least they weren't stoned to death. Stoning was the first way of execution in Islamic Law. And In all islamic countries, they don't accept homosexuals which is very unacceptable! They also get tortured too much!

  41. 41

Re: Ms. McGillicutty – i am sorry, yes what is happening in iran is unacceptable but it is not the civilization that is at fault, it is the regime that is in power. As everyone here should note, a regime put in power with the help of the United States and Europe. Even before the Iranian Revolution, the British government suppressed the democratic movement, and government that was growing in Iran. Yes the people of Iran are living through horrible conditions, but ones forced upon on them, and shame shame shame, by the Western world. So I would think it would be best to think twice of pointing blame, and maybe instead of doing so, work to support the various democratic movements within the country. NOT TO INVADE, DESTROY AND DESERT THE MIDDLE EAST, as we are doing right now. That wont help the Iranians, it will only help cultivate America's grotesque political ego
