Last month, we were told that Tori Spelling was dropping out of 90210 (2.0) for 'personal reasons'.
That 'excuse' was plausible because she had just given birth to her daughter, Stella. Word was that Tori would spend the summer being mom and appear on later episodes of the spin-off.
However, according to a new report, it's money that's standing in the way of us seeing Tori reprise her role as Donna Martin.
Tori wants equal pay to play.
Her old co-stars, Shannen Doherty and Jennie Garth , are said to be getting $35,000-$50,000 per episode to play their old 90210 selves in the update.
Tori was only offered $10,000-$20,000 per episode.
An insider explains, "She thought she deserved parity, and she's got a point."

Ian Ziering, on the other hand, would be lucky to get $5,000 an episode!

Why ruin a cult favorite? I liked the first 4 seasons of 90210 it got boring and all over the place after Shannen left. Sorry 90210 fans. Plus Tori deserves her pay.

I have never seen 90210…but, if she was an equal contributing factor, in the shows popularity, in the past, then the salaries should be equal, all around.
Are they serious?? Tori has a lot more pull, in my opinion, then they do. Even for those of you that don't like her, you'd still have to say she deserves equal pay. That's pretty messed up! I, for one, will only watch the show IF Tori is on it.
Well, I say good for her. I've definitely heard more about Tori Spelling over the past year or two than those two, and they would be paying her an amount substantially less than the other two! So I agree as well!

Tori should get equal pay and equal billing. Shannen is only coming back for the bitch factor and to try to build up a fan base. Personally it was a relief to me when she left the original show. I thought her character was annoying. Same thing when she left Charmed. Both shows definitely improved after she left. She has no acting talent at all. I wish Tori was coming back to the new 90210. She's matured both as a person and an actress, where Shannen has done neither.

Perez, did you ever watch 90210, Ian Ziering's character Steve was pivotal in the series, many stories were based on his mostly stupid choices he made, all the same were great - I can't imagine 90210 without him in it.
I think it is only fair that she gets the same amount of money!

I love Tori! The show will be crap, but she should get equal pay. She made a string of indie films that were great (especially liked The House of Yes). The other actors haven't done shit.
