We smell drama brewing!
The producers of Lost are reportedly in talks with series stars Matthew Fox and Evangeline Lilly's reps to up their paychecks, currently at about $150,000 per episode.
Reps for some of the other regulars have asked for talks with the producers as well.
The majority of the Lost supporting players are getting about $80,000-90,000 per episode.
Are Fox and Lilly really worth that much more than the other ensemble players????

May I just add that umm…there are people out in the world right now who doesn't even make $25,000 a year and these stars who just has to learn a couple of lines and shoot a scene or two a day is bitchin' about the money they make per episode?
I mean, I understand they want more money for their work, but they shouldn't be so fuckin' selfish.
Lost is really a worthless show, NONE of them are worth that amount of money.
In my opinion, I think Terry O'Quinn & Michael Emerson are better actors than them. If anybody deserves more money, it's Locke & Ben

That show got so old, so fast. First season was great, but I got sick of finding absoutely nothing out, ever!!
i don't watch LOST so i can't answer that question. i just think greedy people suck. i would probably bitchslap everyone if i moved to hollywood. i wish actors answered the same way teachers do when asked "why did you choose to be a(n)…?" teachers always always ALWAYS respond, "well, it wasn't for the money. I love what i do. that's why i do it."
Well…yeah, they are the stars of the show. I'd say the Sawyer character along with Sayid would be the next tier after those 2.

This is a show based on an island, with an ensemble cast…right? What are they going to do with just 2 characters…when the rest of the cast, are written (killed) off, all because of salary disputes? Fox and Lilly wouldn't be as popular, as they apparently are, without the rest of the cast.

WHAT? That's rude- sure, they are probably the only two characters on that show that we're sure are going to live, but Lost is a show where everyone has a huge part. If they're getting paid more than everybody else, than Josh Holloway should too because his part is just as important. And then what about the actor who plays Ben? He gets Golden Globe nominations AND he's the best actor on that show! He deserves just as much, too…
Everyone should be paid the same and that's it.
um…YES! They, along with Sawyer and Ben are by far the best characters on the show. Without them, I don't care to know what happens…ok - Sun and Jin too. I can't beleive they are only paid 150k so far. Best show on TV…
Stop the maddness Kate and Jack before Damon and Carlton write your asses off and you only get to show up during the zombie season.

Nope. They're the most annoying characters on the show (imo). But it doesn't really matter to me since I stopped caring about the show after season 2.
No neither of them are worth it. Both characters have started to suck. I wish they could kill Kate off but I know they can't. There are much better characters that should be making more but Kate and Jack suck!

I agree with you. Ben and Sawyer are a real asset to the show. I also love Desmond's character.
I think there will be a lot of bad feelings between the cast members if these two get paid a lot more. That's what happened between David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson in the X-files series and you could feel the resentment when you watch the later seasons. And thats why the last few seasons sucked.
They are key characters, but they can be killed off. Might cost some viewers though…

I LOVE LOST!!! Wish they would bring it back to 9pm instead of 10pm, some of us have to get up early the next morning……..Jack and Kate apparently need money for gas like the rest of us, LOL!, yeah right? Cause being on a hit TV show, while living on Hawaii must be extremely stressful..(didn't start out sarcastic, but just couldn't help myself)

Yes! They definitely are worth extra money. It will only be for one more season anyway, so they deserve it. They are the ones who also do the most running through the jungle and shooting hard scenes. Also, they have top secret storylines, so they should pay extra just for confidentiality.

well, evangeline lilly is worth it…but matthew fox certainly isn't, he is an average actor at best and his character is bloody annoying. he was supposed to be the lead when the show started but he simply doesn't have the charisma..

There is two years left first of all. Second, these two characters will be working a lot more in the upcoming season. Not all characters have to remain in Hawaii for the entire shoot either, like these two do (and I imagine Sawyer). Both of them have had and will have more "responsibility" coming up, when it comes to plot lines. Many of the characters are good, but part of the reason they are good, is BECAUSE they are minimal. I love Bernard. BUT when I think about seeing him for a whole episode, it's not that much fun.

It's the love triangle that makes their storyline more interesting. The cast is big–too many people, so all can't get a pay raises. Also, if Lilly and Fox will get raises, so should Josh Holloway who plays Sawyer. He is apart of the love triangle, too.

If the other stars make that much - then Matthew Fox should get what he is asking for - Love him on Lost and loved him on Party of 5 as Char (Charlie). Why did they all call themselves by part of there name anyway - Char, Bay, Jul, Claud - loved it though
I stopped watching halfway through season two because I could stnad the way they scheduled the show. One new, 2 repeats, 2 new, 2 repeats…. got annoying and then boring and then I lost interest. So pay them what you want. I don't watch it anymore.

These two are the worst thing about this whole show. Matthew Fox makes me want to punch something and Lilly can't act to save her life. What a shame that actors like OQuinn,Emerson, Andrews, Holloway, Mitchell, Cusick et. al. have to play second fiddle to these two.

Evangeline Lilly annoys the shit out of me. Ever since she made that comment a long time ago about how "hard it was to be so pretty" sometimes, I haven't been able to stand the bitch. And she's not THAT pretty, which is the funny thing. At least not by Hollywood standards. Kill them off the show. Greedy bastards.
They are worth it! But…so is Michael Emerson! Really they should all get raises. It's an amazing show and season 4 was AMAZING!!!!!!!
of course they do, they are on a primetime show and they are the stars of it. Both of them have a lot of physicall activity to film the scenes unlike sit coms or other not that stressing shows. They totally deserve those salaries!
They're good… but not any better than the others. Personally, I think Hurley is hilarious… and Charlie just can't be dead–he's a great actor. He and Claire and Aaron were like the Island's little family!

No way! These two are the suckholes of suck on an otherwise great show. And they're not the stars or leads either. This isn't that kind of show. It has a dozen stars, they all work as hard as these two divas, and a LOT of them are better actors too.
its impossible to tell because they make you LOVE every character. i do think jin and sun are underrated though… i want to see more of them.
THEY are worth the raise. Though I kind of like the old school way of doing it "Friends" style and going it all together, then again this is a much bigger cast. But especially with Fox, he is the show (whether or not others agree), and he does so brilliantly, he deserves a pay raise. I think O'Quinn and Fox are the two essential players and the ones most deserving, but I also think that you can't have Lost without Kate, so I hope they get what they want and if it inspires others to ask for more I hope they also get what they want, because the cast is all quite brilliant. And definitely not a worthless show. It is quite honestly the best thing on television.
Fox is the show? Not the show I'm watching. What a depressing thought. I can't stand him as an actor or Jack as a character. Yet I still love Lost. I don't think he's the show, otherwise there'd be nothing there for those of us who can't stand him.
