Carry the Torch, Sam

Filed under: Film Flickers > R.I.P.

The yet-to-be released film Soul Men lost two of its stars to death this past weekend.

Music legend Isaac Hayes and comedian Bernie Mac starred alongside Samuel L. Jackson in the story of two estranged soul legends (played by Jackson and Mac) who reunite at the Apollo Theater to honor their recently deceased band leader.

According to a recent report, everything has been shot, so there should be no problem with getting it ready for release, but how Dimension Films will release it is in question.

The movie doesn’t open until November 14th, but it's speculated that the studio may decide to delay it a little more because the theme of death is so pronounced in the plot. The audience may need a little more time to grieve the passing of Mr's. Mac and Hayes before seeing them in such a heavy film.

Sam Jackson must be going through such a tough time at the moment, but we're sure he'll see the film through promotion brilliantly.

When the movie finally comes out we'll definitely bring a box of tissues when we go to see it.

  6. 6

WHy are you faking all these tears over these two guys??

Issac sperminated enough women in his lifetime to carry on his legacy of being an asshole, so don't worry yourself. (Something like 12 babies?)

  14. 14

Really sad… and Novel1, Issac's personal life had no bearing on the fact the man was a legend - why don't you go laugh at yourself in the mirror if you like taking cheap shots you sick fuck.

Some people make me so angry.

    Re: Andy27My bad……I thought you said S.L.J……Sorry :D

  17. 17

Hopefully Samuel L. Jackson will continue to stay alive. He's probably wondering if the movie is cursed somehow now.

  18. 18

No, that's too depressing. I won't go see it.

  19. 19

    Tragic

  20. 20

I can't believe they both passed. Soul Men was an incredible movie.. I had a chance to watch a screening of it last month and Bernie Mac's character was very funny. Scene in the motel + Samuel L. Jackson + MILF + MILF's daughter = pure comedy ;)

  21. 21

    too sad…RIP

  22. 22

    APOLOGIZE - Voodoo curse.

You posts about Bernie Mac are just making me very very sick! Still you didn't pay a homage to him or apologize for your FALSE accusations!!! Now i read:
"When the movie finally comes out we'll definitely bring a box of tissues when we go to see it."
Do you think someone will believe that? you are a stupid douche Piggy Hilton!
