Sad news for Broadway.
Clay Aiken will be returning to reprise his role as Sir Robin this fall in the Monty Python Spamalot musical.
Looks like new dad Gayken isn't going to let daddy life affect his career.
Clay says, "Since leaving SPAMALOT in May, jokes have just not been funny. Food has lost its taste. The grass is no longer green — the sky no longer blue. And, babies WON'T stop crying!!"
He adds, "I'm so excited about coming back to the funniest show in the world!"
Ok, it's time for him to get a new writer.
Gayken will be performing from September 19 2008 - January 4 2009.

LOL!!! I KNOW!!! I worked, for years, at the Magic Kingdom (Disney World), in the entertainment department. I used to be in the Spectromagic parade, and Gayken looks JUST LIKE the Spectromen, in the openning of the parade!!!
(for those of you who care to see what a Spectroman looks like, go to Google and search for "spectromagic clown". The resemblance is uncanny!!)

Perez, so what, Clay Aiken is gay! ~gasp~. He's still a man and apparently he wanted to be a father. Just because you love your mother and your dog and hate women, that doesnt' mean all gay people don't have love in their hearts and their lives to be parents. Gay doesn't equal not being able to love and nurture a child. You really have a problem with gay people trying to live productive lives involving others. Bitter? You need to get out of your "third person" world and get out there Mario, before it's way too late for you.
As I sit at work wearing my Spamalot t-shirt (how ironic), can't help but think David Hyde Pierce kicked Clay's ass in that role. Sorry, Clay.

Ok I'm not really a fan of Aiken at all but I hate it when ppl comment on his sexuality or make fun of him because he has more talent then 90% of the celebrities in the news leave him alone who cares what his sexuality is.. why is it your business to know? I hate to even comment but I get so mad when I get on hear to catch up on the gossip and I read hes had a baby which so have I recently and there are ppl are here constantly saying mean things… oh well I guarentee he never reads it…

Whats your problem with him Chubby? I don't know about his acting, but he has an AWESOME voice. Very talented, and a good person. Pez you are just mad because your "Gay gene" sucks! You can't dress, you aren't good looking, your 'clothing line' is crap, and I SERIOUSLY doubt you can sing half as good as Aiken. Your only 'talent' is talking shit - which by the way you spell half of incorrectly anyway!!
Mr. Aiken's press shot on line here is so gay it hurts! I've seen drag queens with less perfectly applied ivory foundation and "just a touch" of black mascara to bring the blonde lashes out! If you put some rouge on this boy, he'd look like the lead in La Cage - ZsaZsa! Can't he get a decent PR shot well lit, with his coloring (admittedly difficult to photograph a red head) done right and still look a LITTLE BIT like he's male? As for the baby - he's a financially well off young GM (closeted of course) and renting a womb is NOT that big a deal. I did it 21 years ago when I wanted a child of my own. And my partner (now my spouse) of 22 years and I raised her. So his having a child is NOT that big a deal. Not today anyway! Twenty-one years ago pushing a baby carriage thru Chelsea or the Castro was odd. Today - eh? Not a big deal! BTW: the going rate back in 86 for it was about $10k plus expenses. Now of course it's probably up to $30k plus expenses. Hardly a major hit for Mr. A, methinks!
