One of the reasons to watch NBC's new adaptation of the hit Australian sitcom Kath & Kim is to see what ridiculous outfits they put Selma Blair in.
These two are pretty classic!
The actress plays the bougie daughter on the show who probably thinks she looks real classy and shit.

I think the reason to watch is the cast. Selma Blair is unbelievably talented and can pull off almost any character. I wonder if she chose to go really movie star big or if the industry didn't appreciate her talent. Seems like she could have done the lead in half the big budget romantic comedy movies out there.

I've always thought Selma was such a pretty girl, way back in Cruel Intentions (though, not as hot as SMG), but still hot. I like her attitude and personality, and even though a lot of people think she looks bad here, I still think she looks cute.

In the Aussie version the daughter was a bit overweight and the mother was always ragging on her to excorsise, why are they bothering to call it "Kath and Kim" if they obviously aren't making the same show?

if you have seen the original series (which is AMAZING) you would understand why it's so stupid to have selma blair even be apart of this project, she is too pretty. which is sort of a back handed compliment to her. Jane Turner and Gina Riley better be getting some sort of props in america for this show. I just don't get how it's going to translate, because it was so much about a specific class of people from Melbourne, and anyone who has lived in Melbourne knows this.

Those outfits don't even rate as bad taste compared to the original Aussie series. Kim is suppose to be overweight, and Selma doesn't come close to being the size of the original actress. I hope the American version comes off well to US viewers, because the orginal is f****** hilarious! She is suppose to portray a bogan, or in American terms, "hoosier"! Lol! Enjoy!

Re: simplySARAH – Believe it or not….The US HAS adapted foreign programs, for American audiences…TO GREAT SUCCESS. Let's see, there was 'Three's Company' which was based on 'Man About The House' (I believe that was the name), and 'All In The Family' which was based on 'Til Death Us Do Part'. Granted, they were originally British programs…but, you can't convince me that Aussie TV is better than British TV.
