But is he worth it???
As we mentioned earlier this week, Lost "stars" Matthew Fox and Evangeline Lilly's reps were in talks with the show's producers to up their salaries.
The two of them are reportedly getting about $150,000 per episode.
Now, Matthew has just signed a new deal to continue on the show, but with a salary raise.
Fox is expected to earn about $225,000 per episode.
That's a $75,000 increase!
That's as much as the ladies from Desperate Housewives are said to be making.
The rest of the Lost cast is still trying to renegotiate their deals.
The last cast-wide raise was given back in early 2006 when most of the actors were brought up to $80,000 an episode. Fox however, was said to have gotten a $250,000 bonus.
It pays to be the lead star.

LOST is the best show on earth and though they ALL deserve more money, matthew fox makes the show what it is. it's only 2 more seasons anyways.
well its good for him but if you really think about it the amount someone could do with that money for charity is sickening. Dont wanna piss on his parade or anything but thats a ridiculous amount of money to be getting paid to act. its not exactly the worlds hardest job!

He's good but Evangeline Lilly contributes nothing to the show. Her story is ridiculous and she is a horrible actress. If anything, Michael Emerson is the real star of the show these days

Worth every penny. With all of the over paid talentless actors, and crap on television, it is REFRESHING to see Mathew Fox get his due. Lost is a GENIUS show and wouldn't be the same without our beloved Jack!

jack and kate the key characters, and while i love all of the other characters on the show, w/o those two - the show would lose a lot.
Worth every penny. He is Lost for me, without him the show would not be my favorite show. And he is the sexiest man alive, so for that alone he deserves all the money in the world.

He clearly is. He's a fabulous, serious actor who leads the best ensemble on television right now. LOST is easily one of the best shows ever made.
