Michael Phelps took home his EIGHTS gold medal at the Olympic Games in Beijing on Sunday.
Unbelievable!
He actually did it!
The U.S. Swimmer broke Mark Spitz's record of 7 gold medals, the most ever one at one Olympic Games.
This time, Michael shared the gold with his teammates - the U.S. won the 4×100m medley relay.
And, they did it in world-record time!!!
It's really amazing. History.
To be the best - EIGHT TIMES IN A ROW - it's awesome and awe-inspiring!

MP did it again and I'm so happy for him as well as the other guys that pulled through. I could hardly watch the TV screen when they were racing so I closed my eyes and listened. I'm so amazed and in love with this guy…then again who isn't? GO USA!!!

I really have to say that Michael Phelps has to be one of the most amazing athletes I have ever seen. Not only is he modest but he is completely entertaining to watch. The way his body moves through the water is shocking and awe-inspiring. I'm really kinda sad that this was his last event. He made watching the Olympics so exciting.

Wow…I'm completely speechless. Michael Phelps just proved to the whole world (including his haters) that he IS the best swimmer out there. I was SO glad to hear that he's going to train for the Olympics in four years, 2012. He's my hero. Seriously. Makes me want to go jump in a pool and try and be as BA as he is. Re: mad_la – You are ridiculous. Why can't he just be great. They do drug testing after every medal you win. Plus Michael is in a push for US athletes to do things cleanly which in doing that he willingly submits to more doping test than almost every other athlete. Why because he did it naturally and wants people to do it naturally also. He is a great role model for future swimmers.

Re: DLR – Seeing that what Phelps did was a historical event… I really think newscasters did a good job of covering other stories and the teamates of Phelps… if you watched it, then you'd see that during most of the interviews the team turned the attention onto Michael during questioning.

im sorry but its just not a big deal to me..its swimming and i could really care less. he doesnt eve ndo the fast sutff, like the 50 meter or 100 meter stuff that really count and show how fast you are. i was more shocked by Usain Bolt of Jamaica winning the 100 meter dash in track and field cuz he did it in under 9.7 seconds..i was also more into watchin Torres beating girls literally half her age…its cool he got the medals and the record and everything, but hes not like the greatest athlete ever and he doesnt make me want to be a swimmer..id rather be Nastia Lukin!!!
