This explains her appearance on Good Morning America Tuesday morning!
Christina Applegate tells ABC News that she is 100% free of breast cancer.
Just one month after being diagnosed, she now says, "I'm clear. Absolutely 100 percent clear and clean. … They got everything out so I'm definitely not going to die from breast cancer."
Applegate, who started getting mammograms six years ago after she turned 30, said the cancer was found through the second of two MRI tests as a follow-up from a biopsy she had last year.
That is wonderful news for Christina!
And, her story should remind all you fabulous female readers the importance of self-examinations and regular visits to your doctors!

That is wonderful news!! I'm glad she is in the clear. She is a great role model for women in their early 30s who do not feel that they need to be screened.

Was Christina at high risk for breast cancer and that is why she started getting the mamograms at age 30 when it is usually age 40 that one is suggested to start getting them? I prefer MRIs to detect tumours to mamograms. Mamograms are not as effective as they were, especially for dense tissue and implants. So yeah, get MRIs and do self-exams every month! Good to hear Christina caught the cancer early and is able to recover from it in good shape!

perez, do some reading! there is absolutely NO guarantee that christina will not die of breast cancer. it just doesn't work that way. breast cancer can reappear 5, 10, 15+ years down the line. i wish christina were a little more well-informed herself, but i give her a pass because she is in the midst of an overwhelming diagnosis and she has to say what's necessary to preserve the illusion of health in cutthroat hollywood. perez, i expect better of you, i.e., you should have called her on that shit and educated your readers about the realities of a disease that still kills, especially among young women.

Not quite, I wish you the best, but you need to stop consuming dairy products. Being a Cheesatarian is your most surest way to breast cancer. Cancer grows in your body for over 10 years and everyone has cancer cells. You're false assurance that you are 100% cancer free is idiotic. I hate to be harsh in times like these, but please read The China Study or visit Dr. McDougall… you are NOT cancer free.
What Perez didn't mention was that Christina had to have a double radical Mastectomy just 3 weeks ago. Poor kid. That's a huge deal. Very scary and emotional.
I hope so, my Grandma was cleared twice before she died from breast cancer, good luck christina!

That is great news for Christina… and Perez, thank you for encouraging female readers to get check ups but remember, men can get breast cancer too. Both genders need to regularly self exam and get physician examination at yearly check ups…
