He'll be missed!

7,000 people gathered in Chicago's House of Hope church for Bernie Mac's memorial service on Saturday.

The 4-hour tribute was filled with lots of love, laughter and tears.

Mac's fellow Kings of Comedy, Steve Harvey, D.L. Hughley and Cedric the Entertainer, were all in attendance.

Cedric the Entertainer was the first of the Kings to speak — he surveyed the audience and delivered a line that seemed to best sum up the service:

"This dude is a very, very popular guy. You know y'all were like, 'Let me get four tickets to the funeral!' He's still the hottest ticket in town!"

Mac's friends and family reportedly roared with laughter, nodding in agreement.

The service was part late-night Saturday comedy show, part early morning Sunday church service—a fitting tribute to the actor/comedian.

Other attendees included Samuel L. Jackson, Jesse Jackson, Chris Rock and Don Cheadle.

Those not in attendance—such as Oprah Winfrey, presidential candidate Barack Obama and Ocean's 13 co-star Andy Garcia—sent notes that were read at the ceremony.

Obama's statement said:

"Michelle and I were so deeply sad to hear about your loss. . . . He . . . [made] us laugh and laugh hard…Bernie Mac will be sorely missed."
