Touching Tribute
This brought a tear to our eye and softened our callous heart!
According to the UK's The Sun, the three Hollywood stars who completed Heath Ledger's final film role have donated their pay to his two-year-old daughter, Matilda.
Johnny Depp, Jude Law and Colin Farrell were worried for Matilda’s future as Heath left an old will which did not include the little one.
Heath's dad, Kim Ledger, is in control of Heath's estate. Family members have said they're concerned that daddy will mismanage the actor's money.
The three played versions of Heath's character, Tim, in fantasy epic The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus.
Film director Terry Gilliam said, “They didn’t take money — it goes to Heath’s daughter. That’s extraordinary! And wonderful . . . and when you’re part of that, you think, ‘Ah, this is maybe why I went into the movies in the beginning. I thought it would be full of wonderful people. And we’ve got a movie full of wonderful people who did extraordinary things to help.”
Johnny Depp is a father of two, Jude Law has four and Colin Farrel has a son.

Wow. That's amazing. I could only imagine how hard it is to raise a child on your own. That's so generous that Johnny, Jude, and Colin have recognized that and are looking out for Matilda. I'm sure that Michelle is thankful for the thoughtfulness of the guys.
Its a lovely sentiment, it really is, BUT it does make me question how needy this girl really is, I mean its not like her mother hasn't won an oscar or anything. Something tells me she won't be lacking for cheerios with or without the hollywood donations.

hellooo?!?!? michelle williams is a working actor with over 30 credits to her career so far. she makes PLENTY of money! her little girl was never going to live in anything even close to poverty. the money would have been better spent on someone who needs it rather than some little rich girl who lives in a $2 million dollar house in new york city with her rich and famous mom.

People don't know this but Colin Farrell is an awesome person.. He always gives to orphan homes in places like Honduras, and tons of other countries. Also he has a special needs child and is the most loving and caring dad.
Further, Jude Law is an amazing dad and has even taken on Sadie Frost first boy as his own. And Johnny is also an awesome dad..
SO awesome of them to do that for that lil' angel!

Some people are just born with life all set up for them. I mean, her mom is a famous actress…although it was a nice gesture by those guys, I think little Matilda would be well cared for. I'm a huge fan of Johnny, Jude and Colin, but Heath…Heath was my heart!!! I am so glad to hear this. It brought tears to my eyes, too. I don't think Matilda will need it, but it is an amazing gesture, that for his last film, all the proceeds from them will go to her. I wonder if Heath got paid by Terry Gilliam? Heath did shoot a lot of scenes they will use in that movie. Even tho Heath left what he had in the bank to his father, there is no proof he left nothing to Matilda. my guess is that shortly after she was born, Matilda's mother and father set up a trust fund for her. Heath was very practical when it came to that stuff. He also invested pretty wisely in real estate. I know for a fact he had two houses in LA, and also one in Australia that he sold to Anthony LaPaglia. I'm sure there will be residuals or royalties from The Dark Knight as well as his salary and that had to be worth several millions. So I do not think Matilda is a poor little girl, materially. She is poor in the sense she will never really know Heath.
This is this nicest thing that I've heard in a long time. I adore Heath and this made me cry like a little baby. Thank God there are still good people on this Earth.

The nicest thing that you've heard would have been if they had actually donated the money to children who are really needy, whose parent's homes have been taken by the banks. And perhaps the next time, don't worry so much about a spoiled little girl with a rich mommy but spend more time thinking of how you're going to pay for your petrol and food in a few month's time.

It's so sad people don't update wills, they should, if they don't live in a country which automatically voids wills or other legal contracts when a child is born or a marriage made or ended. I know Heath loved his daughter, and didn't expect to die, but it's irresponsible. You also don't need to spend money to update, write it all by hand, saying this revokes any earlier wills, a holographic will is 100% valid.
