well……as a fan of Notorious B.I.G (having grown up in that hip hop era), i appreciate the effort on behalf of Dan Black to re-create one of the major hit songs of the late rapper. BUT, I don't agree with Perez. I don't think this is a song that will be "viral". And if it does, it will only be because people who listen to it have no idea of the history of the song itself, and what it meant to the hip hop community. It's kind of like, John Mayer doing a cover of a Nas song. It just doesn't work or do justice for the song.
