The Dave Matthews Band's saxophonist LeRoi Moore has passed away.
He was 46 years young.
The musician was injured in an ATV accident in June, resulting in a punctured lung and broken ribs.
Moore went back into the hospital last month due to complications. He passed away Tuesday in Los Angeles after more complications.
Our condolences to LeRoi's family and bandmates.

R.I.P. but you know there are some folks in Chicago who wanted him dead after the DMB dumped their shit (literally) on boaters from a bridge. Karma is a bitch!
This is horrible news. I just saw DMB a couple weeks ago and LeRoi was much missed then, but the thought of him never playing with them again breaks my heart. Thoughts and prayers to his family, friends, bandmates, and all who were moved by his music.
That is sad. People seem to be dropping left and right lately. Hopefully the Grim Reaper takes some time off.

I loved his solo in "What Would You Say?". This is really sad.
the tears are flowing but I know he's "sittin on top of the world with his legs hangin free". This is a sad day for all of us DMB'ers.
This is SO sad. LeRoi was a remarkable saxophonist, and I loved the sound that he had. He'll be missed. A lot =(
How sad… What a talented musican LeRoi was, he was one of my favorite saxophonist. The clarity of his tone, was outrageous, I dont think DMB will be the same. There is no one else on this planet as good as him. Coltrane, Johnny Hodges, Bird, LeRoi Moore….

After 51 shows I can't believe that Roi is gone. He is going to be missed severely missed. An amazing saxaphonsit and an even more amazing human being. RIP

i feel like someone just crushed a piece of my heart. this band means so much to me, and to hear that leroi, my favorite member, is gone is just devastating. i can't imagine the hurt that his family and the DMB must feel. they have a show tomorrow night…i wonder if they'll still play? i'm anxious to see what they'll do for the future. i am gonna miss roi so much.

Wow - that accident happened right near me. It was reported locally that it was fairly serious, but he'd make a full recovery. The complications must have been awful.
