It looks like lying has made things worse for John Edwards!
The National Enquirer's 'Edwards team' sure is working hard to uncover the 'truth'.
Here's some of the latest stuff they've scooped:
- The day prior to Edwards' 'tell all' on ABC’s Nightline, Rielle Hunter and Edwards' alleged baby were flown out of the US to St. Croix onboard a chartered Learjet. The private flight cost $50,000 and was paid for by Edwards’ pals.
- Reporters discovered Rielle and the baby stayed in a luxurious oceanfront home owned by controversial trial lawyer Lee Rohn, a close friend of John Edwards.
- When an Enquirer reporter approached Rohn on August 15th, the Edwards friend snapped a terse “No comment!” when questioned about Hunter. After the tabloid discovered Rielle’s hideaway with Rohn, she was moved to a motel on the island before returning to Santa Barbara on August 17th.
- Rielle's Santa Barbara home is reportedly being paid for by Edwards’ former finance chairman Fred Baron.
- Contrary to what he told ABC, Edwards is not only aware of the hush money payoffs but orchestrated it with his team of former campaign advisors. The tab discovered that a team of six more lawyers have been involved in the coverup and are funneling payments to Hunter.
- Hunter's own lawyer supposedly advised her to allow Edwards to take a paternity test but she refused out of misguided belief that Edwards will marry her after the death of his cancer-stricken wife Elizabeth.
- A friend of Rielle's revealed that Edwards and Rielle slept together the first night they met!!
- The disgraced ex-senator is also supposedly still in constant communication with his mistress!

Politicians are weird, McCain just admitted on CNN this morning that he lied about his age when he first met his new wife Cindy, to me that shows that he'll lie when he thinks it will get him what he wants. Also, in his book he claimed that he was separated from his 1st wife when he and Cindy began dating, but the reporter said that they found divorce docs that proved he was dating Cindy for at least 9 months before the divorce …so McCain says "Wellt hat was 30 years ago, and brushes by it. Sounds like he and Edwards are exactly alike.

There is a different angle on this no one as broached. Mrs Edwards may have sanctioned this releationship knowing she has terminal cancer. I personally have known two couples who have had the same understanding; it is not that uncommon. Personally I couldn't see not devoting all of my love and attention towards my husband if I were in Edwards position, but people are funny. If that is not the case, than he is a complete and total prick and deserves all of the public shamming coming his way. He should just come completely clean, pay the support neccessary to her, and devote his time to his wife. If his wife has sanctioned the relationship, he should still come completely clean, pay neccessary support to his mistress and baby, stay physically away from them, and stay by Mrs Edwards side till the end. Then he can do as he wants. The only way.

The divorce papers show that he began dating Cindy nearly a year before he moved out of the house he shared with Carol. Additionally, he applied for a marraige license two weeks after he and Carol split, I seriously doubt that he met and became engaged in those two weeks. Oh, I get it, so if Edwards was a vet then it would have been ok for him to cheat on his cancer stricken wife, the same way McCain dumped the wife who'd waited for him for years and been disfigured in a car accident…who he then cheated on and dumped. The only thing he did wrong was picking her, she is not easy on the eyes. He could have pick someone better looking. About the baby, maybe he wanted more kids and his current wife could not or did not want to have any more. Too much is being put on him, we have to look at what the wife was not doing at home. If the husband gets what he needs at home he wont eat outside. If the wife stays in shape, attractive, clean he will come home every night. If the wife is dying, wont put up, then he has every right to look elsewhere. His mistakes are running for the presidency, knowing what he was doing he should have either stop or not run for the white house at all.

Re: Spindoc – There is a difference between legal separation and undisclosed (private) separation. McCain was separated from his wife and living in different households when he met Cindy. At that time both McCain and his wife had acknowleded to one another that the marriage was beyond reppair. That is what liberal leftist won't tell you. The marriage was already physically and emotionally disolved and on friendly terms before he started dating Cindy. As a matter of fact, McCain still pays her living expenses and medical bills to this day, and the former Mrs McCain speaks highly of him. I'm sure McCain loves Cindy, but, nevertheless, he did say the other night his greatest moral failure was the failure of his first marriage. Meaning I think he feels he wished he could have done more to make it work before it started disolving. Anyway, he is any honest man, and no one can hold this "marriage thing" against him. He has come clean, and all involved parties are in complete agreement. There is absolutely no agruement there.

Um, no, that is EXACTLY what the reporter busted him on. He was dating Cindy for around 9 months WHILE he was still living with his first wife. When questioned about why the book he wrote said something different he responded "Oh, well..uh, well…it was 30 years ago" So no, he wasn't separated from her, he was cheating on her.
