And The Vice Presidential Candidate….

As we mentioned yesterday, Presidential hopeful Barack Obama will announce this week who will be his running mate.
It's thought that his Veep choice will probably be Senator Evan Bayh of Indiana, Governor Tim Kaine of Virginia, Senator Joseph Biden Jr. of Delaware or Governor Kathleen Sebelius of Kansas.
Poor Hillary Clinton.
Now, the latest news is that Obama and his running mate will campaign together this Saturday in Springfield, Ill., where Obama had formally launched his bid for the presidency.
As for finding out, the campaign has said it will be announcing the choice via cell phone text messages to Obama's supporters.
However, during a town hall meeting last night in Raleigh, NC, Obama repeatedly said "he" in reference to the potential new running mate. Though campaign officials said not to read too much into his choice of pronouns.
Obama said, "Let me tell you first what I won't do: I won't hand over my energy policy to my vice president and not know necessarily what he's doing. My vice president … will be a member of the executive branch."
Adding, "He won't be one of these fourth branches of government where he thinks he's above the law." Making a reference to VP Dick Cheney.
John McCain, he has yet to announce his pick as well.
Though his choices are said to include Governor Mitt Romney from Massachusetts as his top choice, and former Governor Tom Ridge of Pennsylvania, though he's an abortion-rights supporter so odds are he won't make the cut. And also in the top three is Senator Joe Lieberman of Connecticut, an Independent.
Only time will tell who gets chosen.

If they are to campaign in Springfield, THIS Saturday….Obama had made his choice, for running mate, AT LEAST last week. What Presidential hopeful would risk having their potential Veep make a fool of them, with a speech that is constructed on a few days notice, (This IS Wednesday, after all)?
The more that I learn about Obama, and how he conducts business….the less I trust. Something is just not right, about this man.
Not choosing Clinton for VP is a slap in the face to the 18.5 million voters who chose HER over him. By making another selection, he's handing the presidency over to McCain. Personally, I don't think we have a decent choice for November and I think it is clearly time for Americans to look at our two party election process. If Obama doesn't win in November, I believe the Democratic party will rip down the middle. I've always voted Democrat but I think in recent years the party has seriously lacked a backbone. Republicans have no problem getting mean and dirty and the Democrats have let the Republicans mop the floor with them—-unfortunately to the detriment of our country. We can't take another four years with a Republican but we also don't need Obama who can't assure us of anything but "change"…..change isn't always for the better. At any rate, without Clinton on the ticket, he will not be getting my vote and all my friends, save a one or two, will refuse to vote for him as well.

Hell will freeze before Obama will choose Hillary as his vp. Obama is too petty and holds grudges, we've seen that already. He's not big of a man to forget what happened in the race with Hillary. He's still hurt and always will be. I'm not complaining though, Clinton is far too good to babysit Obama and do the work for him while getting all the blame.
