Spinoffs of reality shows???? Is that really necessary???
ABC is planning to move forward with its own spinoff of Suppernanny.
They'll no longer have nanny Jo Frost to help out. The idea is to have a similar show but with a male child-development expert coming in to analyze the situation.
The professional is child therapist Mike Ruggles from Chicago.
So the show will be called, what else, Supermanny. ABC will air its pilot episode this fall.
Executive producer Nick Emmerson said, "With a guy, he can connect with dads in a different kind of way. It's really powerful stuff."
Emmerson adds, "It feels different to have a guy come in to work with your kids. A woman has a woman's touch, and people are more accepting and ready for her advice. We had to find the right person who has real authority and a gentle touch as well."
This sounds lame!
But….
If we're gonna go there, we'd rather see an all-male version of America's Next Top Model.

I'd love to see a spinoff of Project Runway… maybe follow one of the contestants after the show to see how their career goes from that point. Plus, I just LOVE PR!

Are you kidding?? I can't wait!!! I always tell my kids that if they don't shape up I'm calling Supernanny. Even to the point that I'll call my mother and she'll do a fake accent and they actually think it's her. Whips em' right into shape. I'd love to hear my step-dad do the accent!!! I dont wanna see this… i think this is dumb show - i dont think this person has her own kids
its one thing to be around kids 2-3 hours a day, for a week, but parents r with their children 24/7… and its full time job, i'm so sick of this show trying to be a smartass when it comes to parenting.
How about a "reality" show where the studios honor their contracts with the various guilds by hiring professionals to write and act scripted programming?
Viewers have no one but themselves to blame. Studio DO NOT CARE ABOUT QUALITY. They do not create programming, they sell advertising space. If you give them eyeballs on the cheap, you will get crap in return. Want decent programming? Stop watching all this "reality" (non-union) garbage that is destroying the industry.
If your favorite restaurant suddenly started serving hot diarrhea instead of food, but all their customers kept coming and kept paying, why would they go back to serving food? Seriously, get a Wii, read a book or take a night class, don't veg out in front of this brain-softening fare.
I wanna see a Nanny show where she jacks those little assholes up by their collars, screams "not on my fucking watch!" and bitch slaps them.

I think this is a GREAT idea! Many, many men don't know how to parent, as they have had no real role model (either an absent father, or a dad that's not around due to work responsibilies or bars!). Parenting is THE toughest job ever invented, and we can all use help. Jo-Jo is wonderful, but a man leading the way may help other men learn to parent in a way a woman cannot.

If I could have anything??? I would really like to see a show like "Brooke Knows Best" but starring Amy Winehouse….Huh? Ya feelin' me? Give her a couple of roommates like Peaches Geldoff and Pete Dopehead specifically, and just see what kind of drama and/or hijinks these three get up to when they are behind closed doors. The dynamic that could be achieved by bringing this trio together to live under one roof would be tremendous. I would be willing to go out on a limb here and state that the viewablity or compulsion to watch such a show would be astounding. Am I trippin' here, or does anyone agree with me?
