I still like him. I know practically everyone here doesn't, but take a look on imdb at all the fantastic movies he has made, the guy is a legend. Sure, these past few years have sucked for him, but he'll get over it. He's still got great movies in him, I hope he keeps making them, esp. the MI ones, I really enjoy those.

How dare he say that people don't need psych meds?! Psychological illnesses are very real. That was my first turn off, then knowing that he gives a major chunk of his money to the Scientolocult…forget it.
All that wacky scientology, off the wall intensity is what makes Tom Cruise a great actor. He still is great. He's funny, focused, and brings alot to any character. The problem with Tom Cruise's plan to have UA run by "artists" is that he's not an artist. He has poor judgement about the larger issues of filmmaking, namely screenplays and directing. His "input" into Katie's career shows he also has bad judgment as a manager. His tastes and interests are also slightly off, so whenever he's fascinated by a project, he's usually the only one.

If he would learn to give up creative control of the things he sucks at, it would completely revive his acting career. Acting is about all he's good at, and he's very very good at it. He should just be content to act, and enjoy his fortune and success.

I have to say his "extended cameo" in Tropic Thunder was overrated… it ran on too long and he didn't look that different. He simply looked like a balder version of himself with strangely larger hands. I doubt his appearance in the film will help save his career, because it looks like that the general public doesn't care for the movie anyway.
I have always called him Crazy Cruise…..feel bad for him though. He is such a good actor, but damn, why did he get into that scientology stuff.
