Scott Weiland's Effing Shiz Up for STP Again!

Listen up if you have tickets to the Stone Temple Pilots Reunion Tour!

The band cancelled their show Friday night, literally at the last minute (@ 10:15 pm!) and gave some fairly B.S. excuse, according to concert goers.

The band's people cited "inclement weather," but several reports said the storms they were attempting to use as scape goats were in North Florida and were not impacting Central Florida, where Tampa is located.

STP fanatics speculate that lead singer Scott Weiland may be back to his old ways.

Weiland's drug problems derailed STP in the '90s but he was supposedly clean and sober from 2003 until his latest stint in rehab earlier this year.

To help advance their point, fans mentioned that Weiland ranted incoherently between songs, forgot lyrics and fell backward into a drum kit at one point during the band's show on July 30 in Phoenix, Arizona.

Hope he gets his shiz together for the rest of the band's tour!

  3. 3

Hope hes not that would be horrible :( They are pretty Sweet, my brother likes them a lot.

  4. 4

I'm surprised they even gave SW a chance again after whatta a dick he was to the band and to work with. oh well, some people never learn. They were mediocre in the 90s…i'm sure not much has changed about that either!

  5. 5

he's freaken awesome but i think hes hould remain with the stone temple pilots

  6. 6

i love stp but weiland needs to cut the shit and be a performer for his fans (if at this point, there are any left)

He messed up a few words at the Charlotte concert last week but the entire show and audience was still on fire. The band didn't disappoint at all. Best concert I have ever been to! Sorry you're missing out Florida! Everybody rocked their @sses off!

  8. 8

He's messed up and looks like He's screwed things up for the band!!

  9. 9

He has the biggest eye bugers I have ever seen!

  10. 10

    i'm just kidding ;D

  11. 11

Well I live in Central FL and it's been pouring for the past week..we are getting a break right now….BUT he is an addict and the man really needs help..I wouln't waste my money on a show..go see alice in chains instead!!!!!!!!!

  12. 12

It amazes me how people like this douche, get mad opportunities that others never get and then eff it up with substance abuse. There's nothing cute about being a loser druggie or alcoholic! Now you know.

  13. 13

Are you fuckin stupid? Haven't you watched the news? Central FL has been hit pretty bad in the past few days, I haven't heard much of Tampa since I like closer to Orlando, but I'm sure they got quite some rain too, sometimes these things get cancelled as a precaution, in case you didn't know, a concert is not something really important, comparing to your safety, you f*ing moron!

Go and tell the people whose houses and neighborhoods got flooded that " the storms they were attempting to use as scape goats were in North Florida and were not impacting Central Florida". In case you didn't know, Fay has affected a huge part of Florida, it did go north yesterday, but the flooding and rain continued behind it.

I usually like your posts, but I hate it when you're so misinformed.

  14. 14

For Fucks sake, I've been watching the weather radar the last 3 days, and if you ever quit looking at gay porn for 5 minutes Perez, you would know that Central Florida has been clobbered by a HURRICANE for the last 3 days. That's not an excuse? WTF?

Sure it cleared up in Central Florida here in there, but then came along another band that slammed into it.

I wouldn't wanna be caught in it either.

  15. 15

Seriously….the weather has been really hit or miss! It will be pouring one minute and nothing a minute later….lets give him the benefit of the doubt here guys! Now if he claimed this in Phoenix….we would know he was lying. LOL

Jesus christ! how many strikes does this asshole get? 80?.

  17. 17

This assclown is the male version of Amy Wino. Very sad.

  18. 18

Re: holly_g – If it truly was the weather, then the show should have been cancelled before it started (7pm) not 45 minutes before it was to be over! There were many fans that came from all over the state to see them and they made it. You should get all the info before you start calling people names!

  19. 19

NO he's definitely back to his old ways. He ate crap on stage when he performed in Paso Robles, CA and spent a good five minutes talking about furniture liquidation sales (which apparently was the reason he was late- he was out shopping) and how the smell of cow shit makes him things of his younger days in Ohio and his first orgy which was in a barn.

Classic. But still puts on an amazing show. I didn't notice him forgetting any lyrics, he still sounded great.

  20. 20

Jesus why doesn't he just drop dead already and do everyone a favor. He's a trainwreck on two feet. Always has been, always will be.

  21. 21

The man is broken and lucky to be alive.

  22. 22

They killed it in Charlotte-sucks for people who had tickets in Florida!!

  23. 23

I'm glad that I managed to see them in concert this summer before all hell broke loose. I really wish he would get his shit together so STP can make another album. Im sure the guys are pretty disgusted by his behavior. Its really sad.

  24. 24

It's pathetic. They're going to find him dead in his hotel room. I love STP, but I wont' feel an ounce bad when Weiland ODs. He's doing it to himself.

  25. Jenne says – reply to this

Old school STP totally rocks. I was like so tempted to buy tix to this show but my instincts kept sayin Scott Weiland. As a residdent of the Tampa area I can say with 100% confidence that the weather was fine. There was no danger from the weather. SW needs a lotta help.

  26. SaLu says – reply to this

    Well, this is rock'n'roll man!

  27. 27

I love this band! God bless Scott, he has to get things straight in his head (addictions) before he tries to entertain his fans!!! It's sad to see such a talent go to waste on synthetic therapy…. I'm still trying to figure out what he is trying to numb………?????

  28. 28

Re: Disturbed – Just for the record this bitch of a storm was only a Tropical Storm..But it has dumped more then 30 inches of rain where I live…we almost went under LOL cause that's all I can do. This was a miserable week and I've never experienced such a slow moving storm..srsly 2mph…ugh

  29. 29

Guess you would know all about drug addiction, eh Perez?

  30. 30

As a couple people have said, I live in Tampa and the only real difference from normal weather is the cloud cover. It's been raining most days for a little bit, but that's normal for this time of year anyway. Def no reason to cancel a show. So for those of you saying Perez is stupid because Florida is being pelted with Fay, you don't know what you're talking about either (as far as Tampa goes).

  31. fessy says – reply to this

I was there….just a little rain, no wind at all. Also, how was it safe enough for the opening band, STP's gear, and all the roadies? They were all there. For $75 tickets, this was a ripoff. They didn't tell anyone until they got tons more police there.

    What a joke!

  32. 32

So, I live in Orlando, and on Friday they closed every county's schools except for one. It was bad. Yesterday was the first time I saw the sun.

  33. 33

I live in Atlanta and he was here on Saturday. It was a great concert and there were no problems at all! It actually rocked!

  34. 34

Someone should ask his new beau Jessicka Middleton what's up. He has a son named Jagger with her and I think he even lives with her. She's an ex-junkie as well. Her livejournal handle is tynyx and there's a pic of the kid on the profile.

  35. 35

Actually, there was a hurricane going through tampa on friday night

    i live there

  36. 36

Just so ya know. I live in Orlando like 5 minutes from UCF where the concert was to take place & yes the weather WAS bad here. Schools were closed for like 3 days & there were lots of power outages. So their canceling was legit.

  37. 37

I really hope this isn't true, they are playing Bumbershoot next Sunday and I was looking forward to going.

  38. 38

Inclement weather my ass. I live in Tampa. The schools were closed on Tuesday. but by Tuesday morning it was obvious that Fay would make landfall significantly south of here and Tuesday was not especially rainy. Fay went across the state then kind of made a U-turn over the Atlantic and re-entered further north, around Jacksonville and moved across the panhandle. Go look at a map, motherfuckers and you will see that storm was nowhere near Tampa on Friday. Friday night it rained a little bit around 7pm, but it didn't stop me from sitting outdoors for dinner. If STP are so scared of a brief, light shower they shouldn't be playing amphitheaters — especially in summer.

  39. 39

wellll typically weiland made sense when he was ON drugs, but when he was sober he sounded like a nut.

take a look at album lyrics for stp.. when he was on drugs the lyrics make sense, but when he was sober.. just look at "trippin' on a hole in a paper heart" lyrics. that shows you everything you need to know.

  40. 40

    Re: wowowubbzy

except layne staley is dead so they arent really even AIC anymore.. different vocalist = different band

  41. 41

was at there show wed night in fort lauderdale, he was fucked out of his mind….if the canceled show was in Tampa, they were not effected by tropical storm fay, and it was gone and up in north florida on friday…

  42. 42

I spent several hours hanging out with Scott at a party several years ago. I was struck by how down to earth and sweet he was. I think he was clean at the moment post-heroin. He left a big impression on me for being so laid-back, chill, and beautiful. It saddens me to hear of his continuing drug problems and spousal situation. I hope he finds peace and happiness and works out his problems.

  43. 43

He used to be a very talented muscian/singer. Now he's an aging, used up, washed up, drug drunk manorexic. He needs to hang it up, clean it up, and grow up before he ends up another ET headline. Don't these morons ever learn? I guess not.

  44. 44

LISTEN HERE - I live in an area of FL that was directly hit, north east part of the state. It wasn't a hurricane but it was a very large slow moving tropical storm. If I had got tickets I would been upset but you would have to live here to understand the impact of tropical storms/hurricanes. They can affect highway traffic and also cause power outages and all kinds of dangers including spawning tornados. This was a biiiiig storm we just had.

  45. 45

    hes so talented, so sad.
There is such need for decent music these days.
I know that good drugs equals good music, but Jesus, moderation is key

  46. 46

He's definitely been drinking, that's for sure. …..Not sure about the drugs though. ;)

  47. 47

  48. 48

Re: asjkfdsl – talk about a debbie downer lol I saw AIC with the new singer and he sounds just like him, with his own flare. They put on an awesome show…so if a band gets a new guitarist it isn't the 'same' band anymore..nonsense

  49. kmp says – reply to this

Re: asjkfdsl – Trippin on a Hole in a Paper Heart is an awesome song! One of my favorites and I am a hardcore STP fan. The crowd went crazy when they performed it last weekend.

  50. 50

STP fans are rightfully upset but even if the storm wasnt hitting Tampa directly, they would have to drive thru it to get back out. STP aren't just a drug band, they also write about climate change. "And I see so much depends on the weather"

  51. 51

Wow, the stupidity of people is at an all time high! Yes, the band could have flown in, but do you think they are going to fly in all their equipment as well? That has to be driven in genius! Now I understand the world apparently revolves around Tampa, but those lucky bastards didn't get nearly the devistation we got in the north Orlando area. Roads are closed all over the place, either flooded or taken by sinkholes not to mention the roads are falling apart and new weight restrictions are popping up everywhere to prevent more damage to the waterlogged roads until they can dry out. I still can't get out of my neighborhood because the entrance is under at least 2ft of water and I have to park a half mile away just so I can get to work. Oh, and I have no power. So before you start bitching about a band canceling, maybe get off your ass and go volunteer and help your community out for a change you selfish assholes.

  52. 52

Uh…LIES! My bf was at this show in Tampa….and there was NO PROBLEM with the "weather", if there was, the rest of the band wouldn't have showed up. Along with the other acts, I'm sure. It broke out into a riot….and word has it, the douchebag apparently showed up at the Hard Rock to party it up, AFTER his show was to take place (elsewhere)? Give me a break…people can't get their money back for those tickets now, because of his ass. But he shows up in Atlanta fine and dandy on Saturday night………go figure.

  53. Linny says – reply to this

Scott is bi-polar and people who are bi-polar have a tendancy to medicate themselves. This is how he ended up w/ his drug problem in the first place. It is sad b/c he is a talented man and a father. Pray for him b/c he needs help.

  54. 54

Re: sTpFan – I don't give a flying *** about this concert, my point is he has no right to say that Central FL was not affected when we got hit so bad. If the concert got cancelled after it started, well, that is very shitty of them, I'm not defending STP, I just think Perez was being fucking stupid by saying Central FL didn't get hit.

  55. 55

Some of you people could really use anger management classes. I was at the concert, along with the opening band, and thousands of others. It drizzled. The point is not that we are all whiny assholes complaining about a cancelled concert while a tropical storm hit northern/eastern central Florida, it's that that whiny asshole Scott Weiland could have saved us all the trouble of going and waiting at said concert if they had cancelled in a timely manner! No excuses for junkies!
