Guns 'n' Roses "Leaker" Busted!

This is some scary shiz.
Don't eff with Axl Rose, y'all!
A few months ago, nine songs from Guns 'n' Roses' 14-years-in-the making Chinese Democracy album were leaked on to the Internets.
Well, the man accused of posting the GnR songs, Kevin Cogill, was arrested on Wednesday morning in Culver City, CA.
Cogill admitted to posting the songs when he was questioned by an FBI agent, according to an affidavit.
A federal attorney said he's expected to appear in U.S. District Court in Los Angeles later today.
You can never hide from the Feds….or people with a lot of money!

My friend just told me that she work/worked with this guy. He literally sat right across from her cubicle. "I guess he wont be coming to the company wide meeting" she says, thats real sad.

i fucking love guns n roses, one of my all time favorite bands. but i do admit that having the fbi involved is going a little overboard, but its axl what do you expect? but i do have to say i hate people who download music. go out and but the cd and support the musicians who made it. cant wait till the cd comes out, whenever that may be.
and all of you people who are saying that nobody is gonna buy the cd when it comes out is FUCKING STUPID! every gnr fan is gonna buy the cd, past or present. and there are a lot of gnr fans trust me.

Re: ireadtheblog4thecomments – You know why that was? Remember how expensive cassette tapes were? It wasn't because they were expensive to produce. It was because of a tariff built into the price of each tape that was then paid to the recording industry. The RAII tried to kill the technology known as tape recorders back then. They struck a deal that gave us the tariff and not a word was heard about copying music. Blank CD's and other digital media players don't carry a tariff. Besides, the illegal file sharing is much bigger than the recording to tape ever was.

It's also pretty sad when those nine songs are all the poor fellow has. It's been 17 years since this douche last released original material. 17 years, 9 songs. I don't think you can even call that writer's block. There isn't a word for such lameness.
