Kennedy was president for a very short time. He didn't have time to do much and that is why his ranking in the lists of the greatest isn't that high up. Johnson pushed some of Kennedy's proposals after the assasination but that was it. Try cracking a book sometime.

It is a known fact that McCain can't stand George W. Bush. A lot of it stems from the way Bush trashed McCain's military record when he ran against him in 2000.
