Who the fuck cares. TNYT are nothing but shady pieces of shit. My great uncle worked for them, and it was one big slave-driving sweatshop.

  2. 2

    probably

  3. 3

Oil? Try blaming the ass running the joint with his bias.

Unfortunately, it's not gas…they can thank themselves for being one of the most biased media outlets in the States, and people are ready for unbiased/fair reporting…look at the drastic change in viewership among the television news outlets…FOX NEWS IS KING!

blame everything on oil.. our country's gone to shit.

  6. 6

    Fuck them

Once again, you show that you have no experience in journalism whatsoever. Although you make think the the NY Times is the creme de la creme, it hurts like every other newspaper. Advertising is going away from print because people are on the Internet, so even if they have less to spend, they'll spend it where people are going to be for sure. Additionally, if they're trying to reach people 35-under they're going to the Internet. Papers are going to die with the Baby Boomers.

OIL, NO!! Blame the liberal nuts that run it that want to push their bias agenda. The New York Times has lost all integrity and no longer reports a fair account of what is REALLY going on in the political world.

  9. 9

Nope, not oil. It's the liberal douches and the public is just sick of it.

  10. 10

I'll tell you who to blame…
    obama
they are the paper that put the cartoon pic up of obama
as muslim and michelle as militant..with osama bin ladenz
picture over the mantle of the oval office and of courze
the flag burning in the fire place.
    obama had many friends…

Several reasons, but not oil. The loss of credibility, lack of relevancy, and the Time's liberal stance are several issues that have contributed to the loss of readership.

  12. 12

Oil?!?! No, they're so far left that they're no longer on the map. That, and the internet.

  13. 13

Many newspaper/magazines ink will dry up!
    Internet, internet, internet!

  14. 14

Oil? You Dumbass! How about biased reporting, or can you really call that reporting?

Shang is right look at TV news rating.

Perez, you are a hypocrite liberal homophobe idiot.

  15. 15

Blame oil? Hahahaha..Oh! You are serious?

The NYT has displayed incredible bias in their reporting (not to mention national security leaks) and as Rev. Wright likes to say, it's the chickens coming home to roost.

  16. 16

Newspapers are dying in general as new technology is developed. Look whats happened to VCRs, cameras and computers.

  17. 17

    Blame Oil ? NO!!
How about about just a plain old shitty paper? YES !!

The problem isn't oil. The problem is the internet. The majority of people who used to read print media now get the same information on the internet. That is why ALL of the print media outlets are having issues. In Britain, they actually package gifts in the magazines to get people to buy them… every month.

  20. 20

Fewer people owning parakeets. No need to buy cage liners.

Oh, and they aren't a "news" paper, they are an "agenda" paper. What will all the laid off people at Air America do with no paper to read with that bitter cup of bile they drink every morning?

    Re: krazihottkelli/bitchygrl
No, darling. That was the New Yorker not The New York Times.

  22. 22

NO, blame liberalism. No one wants to read that shit.

  23. 23

Blame oil…and blame starbucks, where I used to buy my ny times every day…

  24. 24

    Re: krazihottkelli/bitchygrl

The New Yorker not NYT. You must work for the NYT, because like them you got the facts WRONG, or you just tried to get over on us like the New York Times does.

    TTJ

  25. 25

Oil? What a dumbass. Try internet. That plus the NYT has been so fucking nuts lately it's driving people away.

  26. 26

    Oil? Are you THAT stupid?

It's due to their loss of objectivity. They have no journalistic integrity.
