I thought he did great. they are a great match. Let's hope they win and not that geezer bag!

  2. 2

Next VP? Hardly. MCCAIN 08! Obama is going to drive this country down even further. He has NO experience and is NOT the peacemaker he claims to be. The man has done NOTHING as Senator of IL.

  3. 3

Ummm, it was ok. Not quite sure about him yet. Although, I'm sure he'll be better than Dick Cheney. Actually, anyone could be better than Dick Cheney….

I think that Perez Hilton ought to stick to mindless gossip rather than political commentary.

  5. 5

He will make a great VP!

  6. 6

MCCAIN? You are retarded. If McCain wins, it will be Bush part 2. You want to talk about a peacemaker? He doesn't care if we leave the troops in Iraq for another 100 years. If he wins I'm getting the fuck out of this country.

Re: Plinkie9 – Drive this country down? STFU you dumb ho! The Bush Administration got us to where we are now, and as usual the Dems have to clean up the stink left behind. Get a fucking clue bitch.

  8. 8

Yes We Can! Time For Change! Team Obama/Biden!

  9. 9

plinkie9 has no clue what they're talking about. i hate people who spew political crap when they don't even know their facts.

  10. 10

I think we're going to get the same results no matter who is in office.

  11. Minx says – reply to this

    11

Together with Obama they compliment each other. He doesn't have great stage presence nor was he as eloquent as Kerry ( john) but he touched on what we all sit around the dinner table and talk about everyday. I think I may like the guy :)

  12. 12

    I can't get into this $hit this year….I can't get excited about any candidates! Someone please tell me which one will make me a millionare or at least make my bills go away! :0}

  13. 13

Yay! Go Biden! Whoever he is! I am glad, he seems like a nice guy! :P

  14. 14

    he's brilliant.

    Re: Plinkie9
You clearly know nothing about Obama other than he's a mixed black man and whatever propoganda lying emails you have received w/o bothering to check the facts. Google is your best friend if you are really interested in your economic well being in the coming years. I live in Chicago so please tell me what he hasn't done. Display your knowledge. FYI until you're ass is in that seat no one has "experience". McCain's 30 years of "experience" and having no clue on the economy, healthcare ( his words) and hinting at war with Iran, not to mention will not talk to our "enemies" and voting 95% in step w/ the current dismal president who had only 6"years" experience is a scarier thought than having a black man with intelligence and an open mind at the helm.

  16. 16

    Re: siickitsstacey
McCain part 2? You idiot. I am not sure if you are aware, but McCain is the closest thing you have to a non extreme republican. You must be too young, but you can remember McCain is totally not fond of Bush when they ran against one another? Not too mention his running mate might be Lieberman who is an Independent.

I hate this MCBush crap! Do some research folks!

  17. 17

    18

    Re: HondaRider
I will never tell you who to vote for. I just call people out when they post BS and so far Repubs have the monopoly on posting some of the most outrageous lies I have ever read. the easies thing to do is visit each candidates website and read their sgendas as well as their standing on issues you care about. That is the best way to make an informed decision. If yu read something that got your goat, google it and check the facts on CREDIBLE sites, it's as easy as 1,2,3.

  19. 19

These guys are remarkable. They have their work cut out though…Eight years of mess to clean up….With everyone in their court, they'll get the country back into the shape it use to be in.

    Sincerely,

    Slater Granite

  20. 20

    Re: siickitsstacey
also when he states 100 years he means stationed there. Doesnt mean there will be thousands upon thousands of soldiers walking the streets.

I am a young Republican and I like to see myself as being very open minded. I have my beliefs like Pro-Life, but I listen to others. I watched the DRC last night because its my job as an American to listen. Like all of us whomever becomes President we must support! I know I will regardless what party!

  21. 21

I WAS VERY underwhelmed! Am sure he will do a great job. his speech was so so.

  22. 22

    Re: Plinkie9 – WORSHIP ANDY27

  23. 23

    Re: MC-Daddy

Yeah, he used to be a moderate Republican, and a Bush hater, but that didn't stop him from voting with Bush 95 percent of the time and you can't argue that, voting records are public property and that is common knowledge. But since he has become the Republican nominee for president he has shed any and all trace of "maverick" and has become a run of the mill crass, ignorant Republican to satisfy his party leaders. A man I could once respect, has lost all of his dignity and taking the easy road to the top of his political party, by abandoning his own positions and adopting there's. You are wrong when you say he will not be Bush number 2. The old McCain wouldn't have been. The McCain that has been on the campaign trail is, however, in effect BUSH NUMBER 2. NO WAY, NO HOW, NO MCCAIN!

    TEAM OBAMA/AUDRINA!
    AUDRAMA?

  24. 24

    HILLARY CLINTON has already
hit the ground running…for President in 2012!
    Her campaign is going to
    be called
    "SISTERHOOD OF THE
    TRAVELING PANTSUIT 2012"!

  25. 25

i am extremely moderate. i vote for who the best candidate is based off of the research i do and how they preform in debate. to all those dems who are proud of being so "liberal," which involves respecting peoples differences and different opinions, why do you tear other people down b/c they like mccain? he is not going to win, so why would you call a person voting for him an idiot and say they dont know what they r talking about? obvi they do, or they wouldnt vote for him. there are TWO main political parites in america, our country would not function, nor is it made to function, on just one. so you are the ignorant ones for verbally assaulting another person for their beliefs. one party is not "right" and the other "wrong." its called an opinion for a reason. dont worry about mccain supporters, he is not going to win anyway.

  26. 26

Biden did an amazing job last night. I'm so excited to vote for him and Obama this fall. McCain is just not right for the presidency this year…we need a change, and it's time to see a Democrat in office in '08.

  27. 27

PROUD TO SUPPORT OBAMA/BIDEN '08….NOT JUST FOR MY KIDS FUTURE BUT FOR YOURS TOO!!!!

  28. 28

Re: HondaRider – if you work and plan on working in the future up to retirement age, then vote for McCain, you'll keep more of your money that way, if you want a limited amount of free stuff and don't mind living in gov't assisted housing and collecting welfare, vote for Obama, simple as that. Oh yeah, if you vote for Obama, don't expect America to be 'Land of the Free' anymore,

The problem with being stationed there is that THEY DON'T WANT US THERE!!! They look at it as OCCUPATION! Isreal is the only foothold we have in the middle east and not to bash Israel, but we defend Israel even when Israel is clearly in the wrong. Our Foreign Policy is to blame for our credability being shot overseas and McCain's views on diplomatic relationsis piss poor. You can be pro life pro whatever but you can't have your cake and eat it too. Pay the consequences for what you're asking for. Repubs bitch about taking care of social ills well the consequences of pro life, no healthcare for the poor, 80% of Us homeowners filing bankruptcy due to healthcare costs means higher taxes. If you are happy to pay them you are a stand up civilian of the U.S.

  34. 34

some things that I learned about Joe Biden that make him even more likable to me.

Family tragedy nearly derailed Biden's political career one month after he won his first Senate race in 1972.
Biden's wife and college sweetheart, Neilia, was behind the wheel with their three children to get a Christmas tree when a drunken driver struck their car. Neilia and 13-month-old daughter Naomi were killed, and their two toddler boys were badly injured. Obama described a somber swearing-in for Biden that January: "There was no ceremony in the Capitol; instead, he was standing by his sons in the hospital room where they were recovering."

If the Guinness World Records were to count Amtrak frequent-traveler miles, Biden's would be in contention.
Every work day, the Senator commutes by train – 90 minutes each way – from his home in Wilmington, Del., to the Capitol in Washington, D.C.

his network is estimated at 200,000… not very much for the average senator.

That is why he chose Biden and he's a genius for it! Biden has amazing relationships with foreign aides and is going to do an amazing job. How can anyone vote for McCain after he said, "I'd rather lose a war than lose an election." OBAMA 08

    Post 36
Actually I know quite a bit about both ( i'm an indep. who has to always choose the lesser of 2 evils)
Obama's ACTUAL stand on guns: "As I said, I have never favored an all-out ban on handguns. What I think we can provide is common-sense approaches to the issue of illegal guns that are ending up on the streets."
Yes we may want guns for home protection, hunting etc. But tell me this, why do we need semi- automatic weapons? Remember Virginia Tech? If this kid was forced to APPLY for a gun and went through a background check VA possibly could have been averted. Lastly, Obama in a nutshell: Principles that Obama supports on gun issues: - Ban the sale or transfer of all forms of semi-automatic weapons. - Increase state restrictions on the purchase and possession of firearms. - Require manufacturers to provide child-safety locks with firearms.~ Obama.org

Please cite your source for Biden calling Obama the N word. This is news to me.
In regards to Hilary, he could not have chosen her, she would have been backpeddaling a lot of things she said in the primaries for the next 100 years. I like Hil, I like her balls out approach, however; only 28% of the democratic party thought her to be Obama's fit.

  55. 55

Re: BabyJokerSisterz – You are a complete idiot. If you understood anything about politics, then maybe you would understand why HE didn't choose Hilary. Hilary wouldn't make a great VP but SHE WILL make an amazing Secretary of State! You are just another one of those ignorant people who believe everything that they see on TV in McCain's ridiculous commercials. He has been doing nothing but running a smear campaign. All of his commercials just say bullshit things about Obama and what he won't do but never talks about what McCain will do. Obama has only had commercials telling people what he will do. McCain will bring us nothing but economic turmoil. Read factual political articles and then maybe you can comment about who should be our next President.

Re: BabyJokerSisterz – "HE chose biden. Hilary gave her all for him, but he couldn't choose her..that's JUST WRONG AND HE WILL PAY FOR IT, BY LOSING"

Did he not choose Biden BEFORE "Hilary gave her all for him?" She knew Biden was the VP choice before giving her speech. Please do not dim Hilary's light. She is about the ISSUES and as she has stated "No way. no how. no McCain". McCain does not believe as Hilary believes point blank.

  57. 57

Joe Biden was awesome. What an amazing man who's already lead a wonderful life. I couldn't be more excited about the new leaders in the Democratic party leading us back to the top.

I'm so sick of the Republican spin though. You can tell Obama doesn't want to talk about McCain's failures, but rather he wants to focus on his own plans. He's not comfortable putting people down bc he believes both sides need to work together to achieve anything. But the damn republicans won't let him since they have already run more ridiculous negative smears than any candidate has in history and everyone is calling for Barack to respond to the lies! I mean that "celebrity ad criticism is ridiculous- I think it's awesome Obama got such a great reception in Europe- I mean what does he want, for everyone to hate the US more than they already do?

Now the Republicans are saying the DMC hasn't attacked McCain enough this week. And they're even saying Obama thinks he's Zeus because his stage tonight resembles the Washington Monument! Give me a break! Bush had a very similar stage 4 years ago! I'm sooo sick of the Republican Spin Machine- nothing but nasty lies. They will never get anything done in the White House- they are so divisive!

I thought he did a great job. He did an especially great job at showing all the different things McCain voted for and against that have contributed to the downfall of this country. He also showed his foreign affairs contributions that he has touted himself as being so knowlegable about his helped to make us the most hated country in the world. As Bill Clinton pointed out in his speech, it's time we went back to showing the world how great America is by the power of example, not the example of power.

  62. 62

    (Hillary loves him too).
    .
    .
Cmon people, Hill will be secretary of state. Just wait and see. No one wants to let the repubs. bring up the Clinton sex scandal 12 years later all over again, again and again and again and again. They worked it into every slice of coverage during the primary on MSNBC and Fox and every intro commentary to a real issue. She was not electable, even though she's great.
    .
    .
She'll have a job, don't worry about her. (It's more than most American's can say in this economy.)

  63. 63

Charter Member of the Brotherhood of the Traveling Empty Suits…..

  64. 64

Biden needs to shut his diarrhea mouth and not let his filth flow so freely. The American public will soon get sick of his lies and distortions, just like they are right now with the Obamanation himself. Pathetic! It is also a shame that Hilary hasnot prostituted her self to the Obamanation.

  65. 65

What a bunch of bull. Barack will do this, Barack will do that….and with what resources? This was a bunch of promises that are either empty or will be funded by higher taxes. Higher taxes might not feel threatening to the young or poor (i.e., most of those supporting Barack) but just wait until you scratch, climb, and claw your way to the top, having started out with nothing, working unbelievable hours to make good money, only to have to hand it over to Uncle Sam, underachivers, and whatever stupid pork barrell cause the democrats want to fund that day. Yes, some tax-funded programs are genuinely good and genuinely needed, but not to the extent that the dems want to tax you. You pay either way - republican vote or democratic vote. Each party just makes it look different. Right now, though, with all our debt…….my vote will not be going to the democrats so that they can tax ME to pay for past government fuckups. Let them figure it out another way. Fuck Bush and what he has done. Fuck Obama and his fake-ass ways. Fuck it all to hell and back, I'm so irritated with politics right now.

  74. 74

There seems to be a lot of people who do not do their research before posting here (not that surprising, considering this is primarily an entertainment blog.) But to say that Biden called Obama the N word is completely incorrect. Biden, unfortunately, is known for putting his foot in his mouth at times, which could ACTUALLY be seen as a blessing because he is startling candid for a politician. The quote I BELIEVE some people may be referring to is when he said "“I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American presidential candidate who is articulate and bright and clean-cut and a nice-looking guy. I mean, that’s a storybook." Not the most PC of statements, and he could have said it better, but certainly no where near the severity of using the N-word. Jesse Jackson, on the other hand, got in trouble for calling Obama the N-word.

    Use Google. It's your friend.

  75. 75

    Joe-Bama 08
I finally feel like it is safe to get excited about our country's future. Even Bill & Hillary are behaving nicely. They are admitting through their speeches, that any negative remarks can be attributed to the fact that they were running against Obama, & wanted to win. It's just politics, nothing personal. The Republicans don't stan a chance. Look at the potential running mates that "McSame" is considering. Romney? the Moman? nope….. Huckabee? the Fundamentalist? nope….

It's a huge display of character that Senator Obama doesn't hold it against him either. PS. Hillary didn't want the VP slot. You are not honoring her by voting for McCain.
