McCain's V.P. Pick?????

He's wanting to make history too!

To his credit, John McCain is not a complete idiot, like George W. Bush.

The Republican Presidential hopeful is expected to announce his Vice Presidential pick today and, according to the Associated Press, all indications point to his choice being Alaska Governor Sarah Palin.

This is clearly a move designed to lure Hillary Clinton's supporters.

And you know what???

It's a smart move, if true.

Damn him!

Re: Andy27 – You dont make any sense. In the Oprah post, you said you don't like either candidates. Make up your mind. You're contradicting yourself.

Dear Hillary Supporters: This election is critical. Do not waste your vote because you are upset. The U.S. Supreme Court is dependent on who is elected next. If McCain/Palin is elected, you can say goodbye to Roe v. Wade. If McCain/Palin is elected 47 million Americans will STILL be without health care. Such would be disasterous. Outlawing abortions won't stop abortions from happening. Let's learn from history and not allow women's health to be at risk. Regardomg health care, ALL Americans should already have it. It's morally bankrupt to allow America's health care system continue on as it has in the past.

This next election is absolutely critical for the future of your children and for the future of America as a sovereign nation. VOTE OBAMA.

Are you REATARDED?!?! Hilary fans are not going to become republicans just because McCain has a female VP!!

    4. 104

      DAMN! she fine.

    5. 105

First he says Obama has no experience……now we have to worry if he wins then croaks….shes in charge….holy shit…..talk about no experience!

    6. 106

she's about to take that pin of her hair– pull her shirt open with her bra showing– & grab a chair - spread her legs with her hooker heels!! HA-HAAAA!!

      Re: Ms. McGillicutty

No one said abortion was the most important issue, but it is a deal breaker for some of us that would like to keep our rights.

    8. 108

Did you forget that he was not born in the United States? so therefore he is making history, twice.

    9. 109

Are you serious perez? She will not lure Hillary supporters b/c her agenda is completely and totally different than Hillary's. This is just a latch ditch by McCain to try and be fresh and current, and a poor choice on his and his campaign's part. Yes she's a woman, but come on- three years experience as any sort of elected official? Going from mom to mayor to governor to VP just doesn't make a whole lot of sense… no senate experience, not even the press or media knew who she was when they announced it!

then again, you never know with those people in the midwest.

    10. 110

Wow, that will be just great when McCain kicks and we have a 44 year old inexperienced person for our PRESIDENT. Many women will vote for her just because she's a woman, and that's ridiculous. Look at the issues people!

    11. 111

Smart? Like anyone who would have voted for Hilary would vote for Palin? Palin has ONLY TWO YEARS of experience as a governor!

McCain is pretty damned old, so if he croaks, this scary little hockey mom would represent America????

Speaking as a woman, HELL NO. I'll never vote for her. Ever.

    12. 112

She is hot!!!!We finally are going to get a hot leader !!!!!!!!!!!!! McCain was smart to pick her, she do great backing him up! & a little 69 action too! lol.

    13. 113

WOW! I don't think this will help McCain.. I think this will be the one thing that hurts him….. I am an avid Clinton supporter and was even considering NOT voting this year, until I really sat down and listened to Obama's views…. but THIS would not have lured me into voting for McCain.. it only shows that is truly has lost his mind…. maybe they should test him for dementia… I mean after all he is at that age…. C'mon people…. IF (and it's a HUGE IF) he dies in the middle of his term… THIS woman will be Commander in Chief…. Talk about not ready… sheesh! I'm most definitely voting Obama in Nov…… this is ridiculous!

    14. 114

You'd have to be blind not to see the blatant play to women. I'll bet he's counting on women to vote for him just because he picked one as his running mate. Mr. McCain - it is YOU who are blind! Do you really think that just because you have Palin as VP choice means that Hillary supporters will run to you?! I think not! More than likely - most will run the other direction - Palin is a sad example.

We might as well give the crown to Obama, because there's no way in hell this male dominated society will elect McCain now. He's got one foot in the grave already. Any small chance he dies - she'll become president. She's a nobody, Biden is beloved by many. Smooth move McCain, you flippin loser! :D

    16. 116

Re: carolyns – and as of now you still have your rights, but i don't see this becoming a serious issue for mccain/palin anytime in the near future no matter how they feel about it. like i said, they have bigger fish to fry so as obama supporters/pro choice supports whatever your cause, i wouldn't be too worried at this point.

    17. 117

Re: UberBling – go fuck yourself, Alaska rocks.

Smart move but not good enough!!! She is not even half of what a force Hillary is as a politician, she is the non-thinking woman's choice for an alternative to Hillary.

It's an insult to the intelligence and integrity of women nationwide to think that Hillary supporters would defect to McCain and the GOP just because they've finally got a vagina on board. Women: YOU KNOW BETTER THAN TO FALL FOR THIS CRAP. Hillary's values are not transferable between parties - VOTE OBAMA.

    20. 120

On AOL's Straw Poll voting right now between Obama and McCain, Obama is LOSING in all 50 states! Oh Happy Day! Can't wait till November when his inexperienced sorry @ss get's creamed in the polls! ROTFLMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    21. 121

I am sure that Hilary Clinton's supporters are intelligent enough to realize that the only commonality between Hilary Clinton and this woman, is that they share a gender.
      :l

    22. 122

How would this lure Hillary voters? She's completely opposite and horrible.. the only thing in common is they're chicks
