Obama's Camp Responds!

Filed under: Barack Obama > John McCain > Sarah Palin

wenn1995654.jpg

So, what does Team Barack think about John McCain's choice of Alaska Governor Sarah Palin to be his Vice Presidential running mate.

Well, Obama's spokesperson, Bill Burton, says:

"Today, John McCain put the former mayor of a town of 9,000 with zero foreign policy experience a heartbeat away from the presidency," Obama spokesman Bill Burton said in a statement.

Burton also criticized Palin as a vice presidential pick for her support of oil drilling in the Alaskan wilderness and her anti-abortion stance, referring to the 1973 Supreme Court decision that made abortion legal in the United States.

"Governor Palin shares John McCain's commitment to overturning Roe v. Wade, the agenda of Big Oil and continuing George Bush's failed economic policies. That's not the change we need, it's just more of the same," he said.

So, that's what they say.

What do U say????

"Today, John McCain put the former mayor of a town of 9,000 with zero foreign policy experience a heartbeat away from the presidency,"
    ..
    ..
    ..
bahahahaha. well, when you put it that way…!!!!!

  2. 2

    I'd hate to say it…but I agree

  3. 3

    "HERE! HERE!"

  4. 4

    agreed 100%…

  5. 5

its funny that the republican vp nominee has the same amount of experience as the democratic candidate for president. And once again the democrats show their clear misunderstanding of small town America…basically what he said was a town of 9,000 people is not important

  6. 6

That's still more experience than the obamassiah…Mr. 140 days of service.

  7. 7

I bet they'll say that Perez Hilton needs to stop posting comments about us and shift focus back to Cristi Ronaldo, Chase Crawford, and Beckham, and of course lezlo and saMAN

  8. Wrenn says – reply to this

    8

I totally agree. This decrepit old man geezer chooses a woman with no experience other than being the mayor of a small town and 2 short years in the governor's office to possibly be the leader of the free world. He was the one harping on Obama's lack of foreign policy experience and now he chooses someone with NO experience! What a dumbass!!!!

  9. 9

I am fucking tired of this bull shit…either way we are screwed…andy lets fuck

  10. 10

Yeah I'm definatly pro-choice and women who arn't pro-choice are just kinda weird in my opinion, but they really do need to drill in Alaska, I hope that goes through, I have a bunch of family that lives up there and all of the people want it to happen to bring more revenue to Alaska and also the fact that at the place they want to drill…there's nothing fucking there!

  11. 11

I say: CAN'T WAIT FOR NOVEMBER WHEN YOUR SORRY ASS WALKS AWAY A LOSER, OSAMA!!!!

  12. 12

obama is a fucking joke his whole campaign is fueled by the slogan "CHANGE" because hes black. Now Obama and his team are pissed because they arent the only ones who would change america drastically if they win. he DOESSNT have experience and and palin has way more than him. being a governor is like being a president of a state. obama's fame and his supporters who are blinded his fantastic public speaking ability and his race, they dont even see that his tax plan sucks and his credit card plan will create more problems in the economy. If you want to see for yourself go on his website.
    mccan/palin 08 bitchesssssssssss

  13. 13

Vice president with no experience.. or… President with no experience?
    .
    What's worse here?
    .
Besides, McCain has over 20 years in politics, maybe we should focus on that as well.

  14. 14

There should NOT be oil drilling in the USA I think we should use other countries resources. Most of all I think going green and using natural energy is the way to go!

  15. 15

that she has more experience than obama

  16. 16

i hope obama kicks their ass. the only reason mccain chose a woman is for publicity.

  17. 17

I say Obama is correct.. More of the same bullshiz…

  18. 18

umm hello, obama has nearly zero foreign policy experience

  19. 19

obamas camp just pissed off a lot of small town america.. BAHAHAHA good job

  20. 20

the state of alaska has a population of less than one million…..the CITY of chicago has a population of over 2.8 million. I realize that she has executive experience. But that is like comparing the CEO of a small local company to a CEO of a fortune 500 company.

  21. 21

Once again: She is just a puppet! How dare she allow herself to be used! She is a shame to all women! The republicans are only using her to take the limelight off Obama! It is seriously disgusting! She should have closed her legs or used protection, having a child at 44 is irresponsible, now the child has to lead a life of hardship thanks to his stupid pro-life mother!

  22. 22

Perfect - directly addresses the problems with both McCain and Palin

  23. 23

Just as I expected, Obama comes out bashing and hating while McCain politely extends his congratulations on McCain accepting the Democratic nomination.

  24. 24

Re: Andy27 – You ignorant Fuck.

    That's all i'll say.

  25. 25

I heard she's the girl playing the Star Wars theme on the trumpet at the beauty pageant……..ALLEGEDLY.

  26. 26

…whatever….she has more experience than Jo-Bama put together…Obama has NEVER ran ANYTHING….atleast she has…many things….

  27. 27

Politics are in the same boat as religion. Lies to confuse society. Nothing will change, nothing…

  28. 28

We need a CHANGE!!!! OBAMA 08!!!

  29. 29

    Obama/Biden '08!!!!!

  30. bee85 says – reply to this

    30

fuckin idiots!!! when is this government going to stop making decisions that can destroy citizens' lives. if i want to have an abortion, it should be up to me, not anybody else. especially old mccain

  31. 31

I saw either way we're in trouble for the next four years.

  32. 32

I live in alaska and i like her as a gov. Obama is right. She's not right for the job! Hillary must be even more pissed now!

  33. 33

TEAM OBAMA!!!!!!!!!!! FLYGIRL U A LOSER. LOVE YOU P NASTY

  34. 34

    btw Palin is a hottie!

  35. 35

Re: KayKay!!!Re: abercorey – Ok, this is ridiculous. Why is Mr. GossipGangsta trying to shove politics down our throats? With all the shit going on on Robertson Boulevard, surely there's a Paris Hilton Kitson trip we need to be informed on, or Miley's latest trip to Starbucks. SOMETHING!!! Those are more, pressing matters. This election is the biggest circus ever, and you know what, poor Osama will have his chance at president whisked away from him just like Al Gore did. Imma laugh real hard, then.

  36. 36

Right on the money, I would say.

  37. z says – reply to this

    37

What's Obama's foreign policy experice? He'd ACTUALLY be president!

  38. 38

    Re: perezzluv
    LMAO. Right on!
Palin as as much experience as Obama … and he's running for President!!!

    AMEN!

  39. 39

Umm…she's been a mayor since 1992…been in "executive" positions. I think that counts. And they shouldn't insult mayor like that. Like he can talk, because he has all the foreign policy experience. Obama wants hold to hold N.Korea, Russia, & China and sing kum-ba-ya.

  40. 40

What I find strange is that McCain seems to totally be forgetting this his ultra-conservative males who make up his voting bloc will not tolerate a woman in power.
    -
    - Oh, oh, I have the worst thought — the truth is, these last years the white house has bee run by Cheney, Rove, etc. — and those same ultra conservative/ultra rich are shaking in their boots since McCain's a loose cannon — are they thinking of bumping him off so they can have a novice in the white house???? Creepy thougth, can't believe that crossed my mind.

  41. 41

If John McCain thinks he can woo former Hillary supporters just because his running mate has a vagina, he is sorely mistaken, and he's completely missed the point. Can you imagine this woman taking over the Presidency when John McCain keels over from old age in the middle of his term?! HAY-ull no! You might be a nice lady, Sarah Palin, but you are NO Hillary Clinton.

  42. 42

Actually, she taxed profits of oil companies which is filling Alaska's treasury. Take that Exxon/Mobil!!

  43. 43

Biden, change, now who is talking out their ass!

  44. 44

    Re: Ms. McGillicutty
    WELL SAID!!!

  45. 45

Re: holla for a dolla – Speak for yourself… I'm as small town america as they come… and I still support Obama over the guy that uses his POW status as his selling point… The only reason McCain shows Palin is that he's trying to get Hilary's backers…. Well, sorry… anti-gay? (Look like someone's trying to take a step BACK in time) anti-choice? Trying to overturn Roe vs. Wade? Screw that… no one is telling me what to do with my own body. Do I support abortion/ no… not personally.. but i wont tell others what to do.

  46. 46

Im pro-choice, but i agree that roe v. wade needs to be overturned. its unconstatutional. State should trump fed. Not vice versa.

  47. 47

    THE GOOD GUYS ALWAYS WIN

  48. 48

    good for him….McCain is toast.

  49. 49

Re: perezzluv – i agree! they're totally contradicting themselves! i support mccain/palin totally!

  50. 50

sounds to me like someone is scared…nice move mccain!!! go team mccain!!!

  51. 51

Re: Andy27 – If you don't like it don't read. Do something about it other than just bitch, which seems like the only thing you are good at.

  52. 52

    Re: Lizilicious
So, you're saying we should continue to allow ourselves to be manhandled by foreign oil companies? Why not get local oil, and create more jobs for AMERICANS?!

  53. 53

Please that live in glass houses should NOT throw stones!!!!

  54. 54

let's not forget that Sarah Palin's approval ratings are in the 80th percentile…sounds like she knows what shes doing and shes not just more of the same

  55. adamh says – reply to this

    55

Any woman who votes for McCain/Palin who was previously voting for Hilary is an idiot. She stands for everything AGAINST Hilary's beliefs… Anti-Abortion, Anti-Gay, Pro-Guns, Legal Issues… She's the worst type of Republican.

  56. 56

  59. 59

so true! i hope everyone realizes how underhanded mccain is being. we all know he only picked a woman because of the whole clinton situation, not because she is the best person for the job. i'd love a woman in the oval office, but that doesn't mean i'll settle for the wrong one!

  60. 60

    Re: Andy27

Osama? Lovely! Another unintelligent and uninformed butt wrangler. You and Truthhurts been bumping asses lately? So I guess you think that Obama took down the twin towers as well?

Once again…we have a prime example of a republican supporter.

  61. 61

what kind of foreign policy experience does obama have? NONE. and hes running for PRESIDENT NOT VP.
as far as oil? she wants to drill in anwar. which is what we SHOULD do.

its fine all you obama supporters. vote for him because he emotionally makes you "feel good" about yourself. you're no better than a brainless church congregation.

  62. 62

Re: BrookeR – Suck my dick.

  63. 63

Kinda fake for him to criticize Palin for starting small (PTA, board of commissioners) when he kept talking about change from the bottom up, no?

Btw, Palin isn't anti-gay– she used her first veto as governor to veto a measure denying benefits to the same-sex partners of government workers! I bet she will support McCain's policy of leaving gay marriage up to states…

she does look like Tina Fey, though!!

  64. 64

Re: B in Austin – exactly!! well said

  65. 65

I say of course they were gonna say that!!!!!!!!!!!!

SHE STILL HAVE MORE EXPERIENCE THAN HIM!

  66. 66

they make me fear for my personal health.
abortion is a right that they should not be able to take away.

  67. 67

umm, bill burton does not know what the definition of republican is? Maybe the other side should come out with that Biden is in support of abortion? She has executive experience, running a state. She also is one very tough person, refusing to be the former rep. governor's puppet. She is a mother of 5, one with down's syndrome. I saw no quote from her saying she was going to drag down the economy.

  68. 68

It astounds me that anyone could actually feel good about voting for McCain…look what's happened to the USA during the 8 years that Bush has been in office!! Sorry Republicans…there's going to be a Democratic president this time around.

  69. 69

I'd say she is the Governor of on of the 50 states, which is more experience than Obama has, who has only been a senator. She is the commander of the Alaska National Guard…which is more than Obama has ever been…she has balanced a budget for a state, which is more than Obama has ever done…and she been to Iraq more times than Obama has. This is someone who has more executive experience that Obama/Biden combined and has never been in Washington…THAT is Change to believe in.

McCain/Plain 08!! Finally, a woman to be proud of in politics.

    71

Just say NO to McBUSH/PALIN. Listen up! This election is critical! Do not waste your vote on another four years of George W. Bush revisited.

The future composition of the U.S. Supreme Court is dependent on who is elected next. If McCain/Palin is elected, you can say goodbye to Roe v. Wade. If McCain/Palin is elected 47 million Americans will STILL be without health care. Such would be disasterous. Outlawing abortions won't stop abortions from happening. Let's learn from history and not allow women's health to be at risk. Regarding health care, ALL Americans should already have it. It's morally bankrupt to allow America's health care system continue on as it has in the past. Not to mention all you gay rights civil rights supporters (myself included in that group), McCain/Palin will do nothing to advance your cause.

This next election is absolutely critical for the future of your children and for the future of America as a sovereign nation. VOTE OBAMA.

    MCcain will win!

  73. 73

  75. 75

    I say GO OBAMA

  76. 76

can this please be the last political post of the day???!!! pretty please??!!!

  77. 77

Re: Earlobe – Wrong…Obama never led the city of Chicago…he was never the mayor, never the governor, just a member of the senate…he has ZERO executive experience..never had to balance a budget, never had to command a national guard..never had to lead a State….he has zero experience…check the facts.

  78. 78

Obama has only a tiny bit more experience and he wants to be President?! I'm sorry, but that's so hypocritical.

  79. 79

i say obamas camp feels the heat and is full of mothafuckin haterz! McCain all the way

  80. 80

That's absolutely correct. McCain's VP candidate only has a Bachelor's degree, is from a low-population state, is a card-carrying member of the NRA, and opposes the right of a woman to choose.

Obama chose Joe Biden to fill the gaps in his own experience, which is widely regarded as an acknowledgement of his own shortcomings in the best possible way.

McCain seems to have chosen a woman to try and grab Clinton's woman voters. What he doesn't seem to realize is that the average person who would have voted for Clinton is much too smart to vote simply based on sex.

To vote for McCain/Palin i would be completely opposing everything a vote for Clinton would have stood for.

  81. 81

Re: Lizilicious – Yeah…let's starve millions the world over so there's no chance of a possible small oil leak (which hasn't happened in the region in decades). That small oil leak might kill a ducky or two. We can't have that. Kill the people instead…

    Idiot

  82. 82

    "CHANGE"
    That is all..
we only have to do this 4 years.. so if we mess up then we just vote for somebody else..
we've lived in crap for 4 years already.. what do we have to loose?

  83. Caset says – reply to this

  86. 86

Is it just me or does Mccain have like the shortest arms ever in comparison to his body?

I think in his former life he was a T-Rex dinasour.

  87. 87

zero foreign policy experience? That's like the pot calling the kettle black.

  88. 88

Re: snarkybitch – nope, u got it wrong. im not a republican. the only reason i'm going for mccain/palin this time around is because ur beloved candidate just creeps me out. he is the most manufactured, fake piece of shit i've seen. at least with mccain we know what bullshit we're walking into, as opposed to being misled with false promises of change. i prefer to know we're gonna have to deal with republican bullshit and stupidity, than to be played for a fool by a snake.

  89. T.rex says – reply to this

    89

well, if that Obama spokesman thinks McCain put Palin a heartbeat from the Presidency, apparently he believes that McCain is gonna win. How telling.

  90. 90

I'm willing to bet nobody in this post even really knows the background on any of the candidates besides what they read on websites like this. How can someone like Obama put down another person who has more experience than himself?

We should start looking at what each presidential candidate offers within their plans to change America's current situations instead of looking for change in the color of our presidents skin.

American's make me sick .. open your eyes.

  91. 91

Both choices suck. I miss Hillary!

  92. 92

Re: Earlobe – That's a pretty sexist comment. You don't think women are capable of saying "no," to or avoid being used as puppets? It's impossible for a woman to independently have a sense of morals that includes not killing babies and not voting democrat, right?

  93. 93

i agree. mccain is clearly senile if he thinks this little stunt just helped him out… he didn't pick her because she was brilliant he picked her because she looks like she hangs out at biker bars picking up dudes for sex and because shes gunna agree with whatever his crazy old ass tells her to do.

    bad move dumb ass.

  94. 94

    SEEMS BITTER? What's new?

  95. 95

Re: BrookeR – you are just one person… you may not be offended but a lot of ppl will be.. thats all i'm sayin

  96. 96

FUCK EVERYTHING ABOUT MCCAIN IM SO SICK OF HIS OLD ASS AND THIS BITCH I NEVER EVEN HEARD OF, GO OBAMA/BIDEN '08!!!!!!

  97. 97

Re: celebbish – Look at what Russia has lost in just 2.

  98. 98

no more drilling!!! give us clean energy.
this president will be appointing THREE supreme court judges - so 4 more years of the same ol' will really extend this quagmire and extinction of our inalienable rights as humans (and as Americans) for decades to come.
i can't afford that. can you?

  99. 99

I think its ironic the Obama camp is criticizing her experience….she has more then him! Attack anything else but that or be prepared to put your foot in your mouth!

  100. 100

I love Obama, McCain just pissed a lot of old ass republicans off!
