Great plan Obama but you didn’t say how you were going to make all these changes….McCain is going to shred Obama’s ass today!
Just another speech packed full of lies!! He claims he won't raise taxes yet he plans all these new programs!! BULL$H1T!!! Those programs need to be paid for and we all know where it's coming from. Lies about taxes are the type of lies that either don't get you elected OR if you are elected, no second term. Check out history on this fact!
He was amazing, the way he filled 80 k asses w/ sunshine. They grined ear toear knowing now all their will come true! I'm going to quit my job ,climba tree and learn to play the flute!

THIS SPEECH WAS PHENOM!!!!!
I liked the fact that he tackled the issues head on, went into detail on what we need in the White House and hammered home the point that WE not Government own this country and that if WE want things done WE have to take back Washington.
it's moving to hear someone finally be forthcoming & passionate about changes that need to be made!

Skittles and megentaii, first time commenting on this site, but just couldn't help it. Did you fools actually watch the speech ? Obama was very clear how he was going to achieve his goals. Cut the pork and re-allocate funds to the programs that deserve thos funds. He stated he would go through the budget with a fine tooth comb. If either of you can tell me how McCain plans on implementing his lofty plans and they come even close to be as concise as Obama was last night, I might take you both seriously. It's this level of intelligence that got us the last 8 years. You may both now resume crushing beers cans on your vacious skulls.

how can you say that mccain is going to rip obama to shreds??? what does he have to come back with. his whole stance is based on what bush has already done and he continues to do more of the same. plus, joe biden is going to tear apart whatever vice presidential candidate comes along. i dont care what anyone says about him, he says whats on his mind and he knows how to get things done. as for obama, his speech was wonderful last night. and you must not have been listening to how he planned to get things done without cutting taxes..because he did say that he planned on shutting down programs that don't work, ones that we spend billions and billions of dollars on and that take away tax money from the american people, and use that money to fund his new programs. he said he had it worked out to the penny. also, he talked about finding alternative sources of energy, using wind power and solar power and not relying on foreign oil anymore. i dont see how you can look at the republican view right now and say that things will get any better. if there is going to be improvement in this country, whether it be economically or improving the quality of the future generations, we NEED change.

I too if I where president would wish we paid no taxes, all had insurance, no wars, no logans, no foreclosure and everyone be rich! But those are words how will I achieve it? ARE YOU KIDDING ME? That speech had about as much excitement as a marshmellow hitting a brick wall. So unbeleivably canned and rehearsed; almost like an great actor putting on a good show. He was like a robot, devoid of any real, human emotion. It was a joke and gross.

Yes that would be great! But we can not just pull out on Iraq again and leave them twisting in the wind. I agree we need the rest of the world to help us help Iraq. Iraq needs a stable government before we pull out or another Saddam will be running that country and we will be back at square one.
I agree fat cat corps don’t need the tax cuts they should be taxed and taxed hard. I watched this speech last night (had to drag myself out of bed this morning LOL). I really liked what he said about giving tax breaks to people who employ Americans. BUT what programs is he thinking about cutting? The military? Not smart we need to be able to protect ourselves. So all these changes are going to take some serious cash and where is it coming from? I about spit my water all over the TV when he was talking about healthcare. He just left me with more questions then answers.

I do not vote based on the speeches and if they "moved" me,
I wait until the last minute, after I've heard everything from all sides and I walk in the booth and vote on which candidate has the values the most closely related to mine and that is it, if a candidate is nowhere close to my values, I do not vote and seriously consider moving to an island somewhere warm or even Canada,, hehe
I hate when people vote based on which party they consider themselves, if people would just vote based on the issues we would do better each four years
so far, I've voted in each presidential vote since I was 18 and I'm hoping there will always be a candidate that matches my values and belief's
