In response to this post we did earlier in the week, we just got this very troubling emails:

Could you please delete our listing from your website, one of our volunteers thought that it might be a good idea to get the word out to people by being on this site , but after seeing the comments that we get and the disgusting stuff that you publish we are asking if you would kindly delete us from this site. Please confirm back to us that you have been able to do this for us. I believe that we just lost a $25,000 grant yesterday from and organization that was about to donate to our cause after they found out that we were on your site. Do you have any way of offsetting this loss for us?!

Sorry, but I absolutely agree with them.
There is so much wrong with what has happened here. So much, that I felt the need to sign up and post. First of all, this website is called perezhilton.com. Therefore, it's up to him (you Perez) what the _ _ _ _ is posted on it everyday. Wether it's about celebrities, the news, or even charitable organizations. Secondly, it's doesn't matter what kind of person Perez is, you can help a good cause regardless. Those people chose not to make a donation for the simple fact that the organization was being promoted on some random person's personal website. BS, MF!!! That is so much BS. Why does their decision to donate to a worthy cause have anything to do with celebrity gossip? Shouldn't you want to help simply out of that spirit of generosity? Again, this is SO much BS! I'm so mad, I'm swearing.
They are complaining about a free ad and because of their lack of communication they want money? What a morons.
One more thing… I've just read a few other people's comments. Some of you are telling Perez that he "can't have it both ways." WTF is that? No one person is completely "good" or "bad." You need to take a good long look in the mirror.
Um, is it just me or does the director have is personal phone number posted on their site? It says Blackberry right next to it… Should we dial and see?

I'm usually one to donate to most worthwhile causes but after I see how this organization acts, I don't know if I will continue to donate as this has put a bad taste in my mouth. Do these assholes have a way to offset the losses of other organizations effected by this pricks bad attitude and ungratefulness?
And I'm sad for you too, because I know your heart is in the right place. Perez, sometimes this site goes over the edge. There is a fine line between funny and disgusting. As you get older I think you'll be able to know the line better and not cross it. You can be edgy and hilarious so much of the time… and then you or your readers cross that line, and it's not funny anymore.

You should disable comments on charity posts and CONFIRM with them before hand that its okay to post them.

I really do think your heart is in the right place Perez, but I can understand both sides of the story. I understand that you're upset that this charity is blaming you and being totally ungrateful and rude, as well as being slightly cheeky by asking you to pay $25,000 but here is why I think they are mad.
The posts you make about child stars, such as Miley Cyrus, although I do agree that she is probably a bit promiscuous, it is morally wrong that you draw jizz over her pictures. If someone such as Gary Glitter or other known paedophiles did this, there would be an uproar on this site. It is quite disgusting and this is supposed to be a children's site you're supporting, yet you flame and slag off many children on this site.
Also, there are many disgusting users who post on your site which are racist, sexist etc. I know everyone is entitled to their freedom of speech, but there are certain things which are unacceptable to society. This site isn't well moderated, and until these things change, I can see why any charity could have a problem with this site advertising their cause.

I do think that using this site to advertise charities is a brilliant idea and charities should be grateful, and should thoroughly check the content of this site before agreeing for you to publish them on here, but in general I do think you need a reality check on how this site is run because quite frankly, some things on here are disgusting.
I'm not slating you Perez, because I come here daily to check up on all my celeb goss and love your site. Just think of this as a bit of constructive criticism.

Perez, if somebody was "going to give a grant" to these people and they didn't because you have them on your site, they weren't going to give that grant anyway. They just didn't have a "real reason" to not give it yet, and the excuse they used is total bollocks! You didn't do anything wrong.

As this post has been sitting on the front page all day, I am sure the exposure has done wonders for this charity. You know, there's no such thing as bad publicity.
Gosh who knows, perhaps this all a marketing tactic between the charity and Perez. Front page news for an elongated time, the charity exposure has sky-rocketed 1,2,3,4, no probably 1000 times from the original post.
Was the typo actually in their email ("and" organization vs "an" organization) or was it someone perezhilton.com? If it was theirs, they likely lost the grant because of its unprofessional presentation.
I understand Mario's heart was in the right spot but I see the charity's point. This is a gossip website and it's not exactly nice. The comments here range from disgusting to racist and homophobic. I don't blame this organization for not wanting anything to do with this site.

Re: Sensible – I dont think it is possible for their "money to be reimbursed" when it wasnt even paid to the organization in the first place. A donor's choice may have nothing to do with Perez at all.. Or it may have everything to do with Perez, the point is, it is not Perez' responsibility to refund money 1)wasnt his and 2) wasnt even initially received by the charity in question. If the donor cared about the cause, it wouldnt matter who else out there in the world supports the same organization; it's not like the money is being taken from the mouths of children and given to Perez. (maybe the execs are taking off the top though..)

It kinda seems like this org is/was just looking for a 25k hand out. If someone cares enough about children to want to dontate that sort of money….. they would NOT decide against donating simply because the charity was mentioned on this website. That's really sad that they would take it out on this website. Sure, there can be crude content on this, and even crude comments! But your heart was in the right place, and I don't think that's fair to blame you for trying to tell people about an organization. What about all the donations that was brought to them by being on your website? And if the organization that was going to make a donation to them backed out over a silly little thing like this, then shame on them.
