An insider has revealed to the UK's Sun that Wino may have brain damage from all her drug use.
Shocker!!!
The 'friend' shed some light on Crackhouse's crystal meth binges and said that a 36-HOUR pot marathon is what dealt the final blow to her brain. We know many people don't believe there's such a thing as pot overdosing, but UK medics have said Wino WAS likely damaged by a cannabis overdose and that explains her display of symptoms normally associated with schizophrenia.
The much-in-need-of-rehab singer supposedly suffered two major overdoses, with such bad convulsions that they were “like a scene from The Exorcist”.
Her first overdose in August 2007 was reportedly from cocaine, heroin, ecstasy, ketamine and crystal meth. Afterward, she was supposedly advised to see a psychiatrist after "displaying “multiple personality traits” that made her a suicide risk."
Overdose number two came in July this year when she supposedly smoked an “inhuman” amount of hash that left her vomiting uncontrollably and hallucinating. Remember how Daddy Wino dismissed the July incident as someone 'drugging' Amy and/or a bad reaction to meds? Wrong!
Here's the sad things Wino's 'friend' told the rag:
“The future is bleak, bleak, bleak.
“Mitch does everything he can to protect his daughter - but his ‘explanation’ for Amy’s hospital dash in July was just simply untrue.
“She had smoked an inhuman amount of hash which resulted in acute cannabis poisoning. You have to take a s***load of pot to suffer that severe a reaction.
“It’s thought she had been smoking it for 36 hours.
“Amy’s fits were as bad as the convulsions she had during her overdose in August last year. No one has mentioned her meth use before – but that stuff is truly nasty.
“She is in need of years of psychiatry and medical treatment if she has a hope.”
We just don't understand why her family hasn't pulled a mayjah intervention yet.

Yes, it COMES from marijuana, but it is a much more condensed and potent form… SECOND, you CANNOT overdose on marijuana. You would have to smoke 50 lbs to do so, and that is just not physically possible. You would fall asleep long before that would happen (HA. Seriously though. You would). To know what kind of substances she is putting into her body, and then blaming her OD on marijuana, is just ignorant.

If you can be poisoned by drinking too much water at one time, then you can be poisoned smoking too much weed. You weed people get so defensive!

I don't know about a pot overdose, but recent studies have found that if you are prone to a psychotic break, pot will bring it on. I believe this to be true.

a ton of studies have been done on what it would take to od on pot. and with tests on mice. for a HUMAN to od on pot they would have to smoke a bale of hay sized amount of pot in less than one minute.

You can overdose on anything if you take enough of it. Thankfully, out bodies usually have a built in mechanism that will force use to pass out or fall asleep before a very dangerous amount of cannabis or alcohol can be ingested. But there have been very well documented cases were people have smoked a lot of it and ended up with serious brain damage. There have also been well documented cases where an individual has smoked not that much and ended up permanently almost a veggie. Who knows what causes it; just something in those peoples brains couldn't handle it.

There is no such thing as 'acute cannabis poisoning' I'm not pro or anti pot, I'm just pro-SCIENCE. Google it.. cite a reliable study or journal entry. This means you, Gengis Khan. There is a link between MJ and psychotic episodes in people previously diagnosed, but this is not 'poisoning', simply a nasty side effect. (sorry if you went through this, Little Lion). Some people do 'freak out' after smoking large amounts and seek medical treatment, but it's the mind making the body sick, not the drugs. (eg, mass hysteria) As previous posters have noted, the LD-50 for cannabis is such a large number that it would be physically impossible to achive it, even with a pure THC extract. You can get brain damage from inhaling too much of ANY kind of smoke, but this is due to lack of oxygen flow to the brain and not due to chemicals in the smoke.

Any of these drugs alone (and alcohol), can cause all of the symptoms described. This is like a coroner finding a dead body with all these drugs in the bloodstream and a Twinkie in their hand and concluding that the death was due to 'acute Twinkie poisoning'.
i smoke pot but i know that smoking pot can make several brain damages… i have a friend that never had any contact with any other drugs than pot and he got psicotic.. i don't know if you can have a pot overdose (i never had any) but i know for a fact that pot can make you go crazy(and you don't need to smoke a lot, there are many people that have bad reactions to pot..)I am no exemple, but hey people! just because you never had a problem with smoking pot that doesn't mean other people can't have it… people have different reactions to drugs.

If she's smoking soapbar which is the most common hash in the UK, she's more likely to get poisoned from the foreign debris they fill that stuff with. If she had been smoking real, pure, clean, medicinal quality cannabis resin (like the stuff pictured in my avatar) she would have never had a problem. In fact, I would surmise that if she ever got any cannabis resin of any quality in good supply she would disassociate herself with those harder drugs and just use cannabis.

She smoked a crapload of hash, not just traditional pot smoking. It's super concentrated THC. Using enough hash over a long period of time of course will make you sick. Lots of famous psychologists have experimented with hyper-consumption of hash, and gotten very ill.
