EVERYONE is talking about Bristol and Sarah Palin today - even Lindsay Lohan!
The bisexual actress just posted the following on her official blog:

I've been watching the news all morning, like everyone else - and i keep hearing about the issues related to 'teen pregnancy'- It's all related to Sarah Palin and her 17 year old unmarried pregnant daughter. Well, I think the real problem comes from the fact that we are taking the focus off of getting to know Sarah Palin and her political views, and what she can do to make our country a less destructive place. Its distracting from the real issues, the real everyday problems that this country experiences.
I am concerned with the fact that Sarah Palin brought the attention to her daughter's pregnancy, rather than all world issues and what she believes she could possibly do to change them-if elected. I get Sarah Palin's views against abortion, but i would much prefer to hear more about what she can do for our country rather than how her daughter is going to have a child no matter what.
Maybe focus on delivering some words and policy with stronger impact like Joe Biden.

"Let me be as clear as possible," Obama said. "I think people's families are off-limits, and people's children are especially off-limits. This shouldn't be part of our politics. It has no relevance to Gov. Palin's performance as governor or her potential performance as a vice president."
Obama said reporters should "back off these kinds of stories" and noted that he was born to an 18-year-old mother.

On another note-the last note- i heard a woman say on TODAY on NBC that teens are feeling as if they have to grow up faster. Really? Because, i think that girls that are CHOOSING to be sexually active and are making a conscious decision to grow up faster….. I think that parents need to recognize how important it is to talk to their children about the things that can result from being sexually active if they aren't protecting themselves (birth control, condoms, etc.)
So-those are my thoughts for the day. Enjoy the music

The only responsible thing for McCain and Palin to do now is say they are re-thinking voting against money for sex education, and only promoting abstinence in schools. Didn't work for her daughter, did it? It's irresponsible not to teach kids how to prevent pregnancy. At least Bristol has help from her parents. How many 14 year old pregnant girls are out there all alone who would have benefited from a little guidance and a few condoms?

I guess I can agree to an extent that families should be off-limits, but you have to admit her daughter who is 17 YEARS OLD is pregant! There are kids 17 and 16 who are going to prison and become sexual predators for shit like that and here is an elected Vice President's daughter is PREGNANT and ONLY 17 years old.

If, and it's a big if, Lindsay really wrote that, then she is showing remarkable maturity for her age. It shows that she's taking this election year very seriously and is honestly trying to learn as much about the candidates' stand on the issues as she can. I commend her for that. If it's Sam who wrote that, well then good for her as well, but I wish she'd just sign in as herself and stop misrepresenting herself. If those are her thoughts she should be proud of them and own them.

I've gotta say that Lindsey's making some good points here. I know this election shouldn't be about attacking the candidate's children, but the situation does make you wonder if Sarah Palin ever took the time to talk to her daughter about sex ed. It does seem like this is becoming a bigger problem in society today. I'm glad Sarah's supporting her daughter, but I don't think teenage pregnancy should become something that's okay and accepted in our society…17 is way too young to have a child.

My view on abortion is this….I don't agree with it by any means, but if a pregnant woman/girl makes a point of saying…" I don't want to be a mother so badly, that I'll kill the child (via abortion)"…..then maybe she really shouldn't be a mommy, you think?
If a woman is so adamant about not giving birth that she'll kill the child, good sense tells you that she's not going to be a great mother.
So, all you pro-lifers out there, it's time to start thinking of the aftermath, the outcome of these unwanted babies' lives. Sure, the child was born, but to a mother who would have rather killed it. I dont know where you heard Lindsay has gone broke/Her 2007 year was one of her worst and even then she made 4 million.Since Mean girls 4 years ago she almost had a personal income of 25 million.

It's very naive to think that just talking to your children will keep them from harm. We all know how much Michael has talked to her. You instill morals and goodness in your kids, then hope for the best. Beyond that, kids do what they want.
