That guy was cool. He was THE voice for all the movie trailers! Who will take his place?
Who??
So sad..everyone has to die. He's lucky to get out of this hell.

RIP, Don!
Movie trailers will never be the same. RIP Don.
He was the greatest! After watching the tribute, I'm more impressed than ever.

I loved the 'Trailer Guy'!!!
That's sad! :[
Movie trailers just won't sound the same…
whoa I always wondered who that dude was
Re: Debraw –
Thats what I was thinking lol, it wont be the same without that "voice" that we are all used to hearing Lol. RIP
Aww. I heard it was a blood clot in his lung? Movie trailers will never be the same again.
Awe, so sad, he always reminded me of my dad :'(
No! This truly sucks! That dude was awesome. My condolences to his family.
=(
RIP Don
Nooooo! Aw, crap. I loved this guy! May you find peace and serenity for all eternity Don.
xoxo, Isa
This makes me sad. Pablo Francisco does a great impersonation of him so maybe he could step up.
RIP Don…prayers to his family…..

R.I.P Don.
I a WORLD…. where PEOPEL die… he went the same PATH … and now… the JOURNEY is OVER…
There will be no other..
R.I.P. Don, we will miss you. I learned a lot from working with you. Thanks
So sad. I remember looking up his name years ago to find out just who this guy was that did ALL of the trailers.
Damn shame… but does this mean that his job is open?
I still don't believe it!!! WOW…Movie Trailers will definitely not be the same!!! I remember finding out who he was when I saw him in a Geico commercial!!! Damn, everyone is just dying nowaday. Well, my condolences go out to his loved ones!!
This is so sad.
What a terrible loss for us all, especially his friends and family. He will definitely be missed!
that is heartbreaking.
RIP
Oh wow. I'm wondering who they will get to replace his voice in trailers. There is certainly no one who will have a voice like him. Watching the tribute and seeing him I got a great feeling from him, like a genuine presence of a great guy. My best wishes goes to all of his loved ones. His talent will live on.
Dear Don,
It was a joy to work with you all these years. You were funny, to the point and always spoke your mind. A voice over session with DLF was such a learning session. You knew you were with the master! Love and prayers to you, your dear wife and your kids
He has a wonderful and beautiful family. I have met them and they are the nicest down to earth people. I feel so sad for them. I pray that God will give them the strength to get through this very difficult time.
Damn, I loved that guy, I'm gonna miss hearing him on the movie trailers, he is truly a legend, RIP
aww that guy was so awesome!
Oh how sad. My fiancee made a movie trailer as his way of proposing to me, he used the phrase "in a world…" and on his computer he saved the movie file as "Operation Don LaFontaine"
He will be missed!!!!
This is absolutley devesting news.
In a world -torn by change- someone mourns - a ledgend.
RIP! You will be missed!
RIP
I guess the Denny's in heaven pays better.
True voice pioneer. Sad to see him go at such a young age.
I'm gutted
I loved watching the trailers with his voice on them!
movies will never be the same
awh =[
Awww, that's the end of an era right there.
Definitely the end of an era, ShootingStar. He was the king, for sure. Many other voiceover actors try to imitate him, such as Ben Patrick Johnson. Check him out on youtube. Perez will probably like him ’cause not only is he hot but he's also gay.
this makes me so sad! i was JUST thinking about this guy over the weekend….he had so many commercials on tv recently he must have been really busy!
That guy was AWESOME…….I have a fun fact for you all.Did you guys know that will arnett was also a voice over guy for the movie trailors. It was during an interview some time ago where he was discussing his former job as a voice over. Then he mentioned how amazing don was and how he actually has a very intimidating voice in person. Ill search for this video and get back to ya guys
"In a world"…we'll miss this guy.
Love Pablo Francisco's imitation of this famous man's voice.
Pablo Francisco can take his place…check him on youtube Pablo Francisco - Previewman
the voice of god is dead! as a voiceover guy myself, i am truly devastated by this news. he was one of my idols. he had the finest and most versatile voice on the planet. if i had just a fraction of his talent i would consider myself a lucky man.
Damn, why are all the talented stars dying these days??
Yes, movie trailers will never be the same again. DDD :
