I had never even heard of Harvey Milk until just now. I was 11 years old when he was murdered. I was living in New York City. Why didn't I see it on the news or hear people talking about it? I mean geez if they could talk about Son of Sam why couldn't they talk about Harvey Milk? It seems like his life was a lot more important than a serial killer! I think sean Penn is the greatest actor of our time ( well along with Forest Whitaker)….

I think this movie looks great. I can't wait until opening night, I'm sure there will be Christians picketing outside of our small town theater (if they even let it show), we may have to go to Philly to see it! I say rock on gay community, get yours!

This film looks like its going to be really great. Has anyone watched Bobby with Anthony Hopkins/Lindsay Lohan/Shia LaBaouf/Nick Cannon/etc ??? Milk reminds me of it because it had to do with politics and human rights - and making this country better for every individual in it! Watching this trailer made me teary/happy when Sean Penn's Harvey was at the podium speaking. Inspiring! If only all politicians were like that!

Oh wow, watching this trailer gave me chills too! It looks brilliant. I love Gus Van Sant's movies, he makes them about really good subjects (such as this, and the Columbine shooting in 'Elephant'). Although, I do agree, Last Days was my least favorite.

Anyway, I'm really excited about this film! :]

I lived this! I was 20 years old. I grew up near San Francisco, and was unfortunately living in Utah at the time of Harvey Milks assisination. Dan what's his fucking name, played by Josh Brolin is who killed Harvey Milk. I hope they make a great film that people go to see. Especially the younger people, who don't know what happened! I will definately see this film
