Levi Johnston, babydaddy to Sarah Palin's teen daughter, Bristol, left Alaska on Tuesday to be with the Palin family at the Republican National Convention in Minnesota, according to a new report.

Levi's mom said that she's concerned about her son dealing with all the attention. She reportedly went on to say that it was difficult enough for teenagers to deal with any pregnancy, having the entire nation watching made it worse.
Sarah Palin is scheduled to address the Republicans tonight and, traditionally, her family - which now includes Levi - would join her at the conclusion of her speech.
Both the Republicans and Dems say families are 'hands off' but both parties pimp out their fams when it's convenient for them.
So why wouldn't it be fair for us to ask questions about their family members??

If you would actually look at the issues, you would probably like McCain. McCain also wants to talk to extreme foreign leaders (Iran, N. Korea) and he supports gays in the military (so finally a couple of my friends can come out without fear they will lose their job). He doesn't believe in the draft so he will significantly raise military pay to make it appeal to more (pay now for an entering Private in about 1500 a month). Do you really want to pay taxes out of your ass because you are voting for Barack? If that universal health care gets approved, it will cost MILLIONS in American Payers tax dollars…raising them significantly. It isn't that he doesn't support gay marriage, he feels it should be up to the states. If you would actually READ about the issues and his stance on them, you would get an entirely different view than what this fat ass is telling you. And do you really want a VP who LIED to the country about HOW his wife and baby died? It's not hypocritical for me to question her background and want to know all about this candidate–sheltering the public from her is Rove politics, but that doesn't make it right. If she supports abstinence-only sex education (her 2006 campaign)–saying that condom distribution "causes" teens to have sex–and then her daughter gets knocked-up, her values/stance should be called in question. (It's not about her being a bad mother, but a bad politician)
The research on comprehensive sex-ed is out there: abstinence only students have higher rates of unprotected sex, more STDs in the mouth, throat, and butt (eww), and slightly higher teen pregnancy. Google the report to Congress that said such school programs teach misinformation and lies.
This is very much relevant to the campaign. If she remains closed-minded on this issue even though she has experienced the results in her own family–I, as a voter, will not cast a vote to this person. I've lived 8yrs with an administration that has been dismissive of empirical, scientific data, favoring beliefs instead ("If I wish it to be true, it will be" is ignorance!!!).
It would be fair if you'd ask any questions about Obama's family, instead of just kissing his ass all the time.

This is rediculous…She has spent the last two years bettering her state…WHICH IS HER JOB! I worked as a flight attendant for an airline that brought the troops to and from bases in Kuwait. I have been to Kuwait, Alaska, Germany, etc…I have spent time talking to the marines, the army, navy, air force… It is so sad to see a nation arguing with itself and having no common ground. On Alaska, I actually wanted to move there when I was in Anchorage taking the troops to the base there. It's beautiful to say the least and the people there are warm, friendly and a lot of fun. There is so much there and I would love for a VP in the whitehouse to be from there. It's pretty sad what extreme measures will do to a society. It's always the extremists that will kill things for the rest of us. What's sad is that abortion being used in order to save a mother's life…and I don't mean her 'social life'…is overshadowed by the youth (not all) and many women being irresponsible in their sexual activity and looking for a way out. Instead of using abortion for extreme measures such as to prevent the death of the mother or for rape circumstances…it is used as a way out of consequences for one's actions. why do we as a society think that if we remove the consequences that it will somehow make the act of being irresponsible okay for our youth?? I think what Sarah Palin is trying to emphasize is that today we are so quick to give teens and young America preventatives and quick fixes and "calling" it "being responsible". Teaching about abstinence has somewhat been thrown out the window completely these days…which really isn't good either.
There needs to be some type of balance. Kids will always make bad decisions, but to give them such easy ways out and allow our kids to be promiscuous is not very healthy either. Why is teaching abstinence frowned apon??? That makes no sense…I am interested in more of what this woman has to say. I applaud her daughter. She could have gone behind her mother's back and had the baby aborted somehow, regardless of her age…she chose to take responsiblity for her actions. See, that's the problem today, we don't reward our kids for taking the high road and taking responsiblity for their choices. Instead he media will point the finger at a young courageous girl who's life will be forever changed and will grow up so much faster than many.
Watching the convention last night was so funny. The average age of the crowd was approx 70 years old. So many old timers, just sitting in their seats, not clapping, not smiling, when Sarah Palin's name was mentioned. Even with all of the crazy hillary supporters floating around, I'd say that the Dems are the more unified party

Of course you think it's fair game to go after public figures' children - you've shown your willingness to do that over and over. Douchebag. In political campaigns, children should be left out of it. Period.
I'm not going to get into a political screaming match with any of the yahoos on this site, on either side of the aisle, but I do have a comment. What kind of mother would willingly put her pregnant daughter into the situations that Bristol Palin now finds herself, being dissected like a lab rat in the glare of the national media, having to put up with skeazes like Mario talking about how he wants to fuck the babydaddy? This kid has no chance now of having any sort of normalcy in her life, now or ever. Every move she ever makes, certainly between now and November, will be watched, photographed, analyzed, her mistakes amplified for the world to see. Teenagers often say, "God, mom, you're ruining my life!" Sarah Palin just made that literal. For someone who appears/claims to be all about family, its a shame that her own obviously comes second.
