Seems like a lot of people out there don't like Republican VP nominee Sarah Palin.
Even John McCain's former adviser, Mike Murphy, thinks she's a joke!
Murphy, who's also a Time columnist and contributes to MSNBC, was on air with Wall Street Journal columnist and former Reagan speechwriter Peggy Noonan this week. And when anchor Chuck Todd cut to a clip, the three of them began talking, not realizing that a technical glitch was allowing viewers nationwide to listen to their comments LIVE!
Todd was caught saying, "I also think the Palin pick is insulting to Kay Bailey Hutchinson, too."
While Murphy commented, "Still McCain can give a version of the Lieberman speech to do himself some good."
And Noonan said, "It's over."
But this is when it gets good. Todd then questions, "Yeah, I mean is she really the most qualified woman they could have turned to?
To which Noonan responds, "The most qualified? No! I think they went for this, excuse me, political bullshit about narratives."
HA!
To which Todd agreed with, "Yeah they went to a narrative," followed by Murphy's comment, "I totally agree."
And it gets funnier, Noonan adds, "Every time the Republicans do that, because that's not where they live and it's not what they're good at, they blow it."
And Murphy responded with, "You know what's really the worst thing about it? The greatness of McCain is no cynicism, and this is cynical."
"This is cynical, and as you called it, gimmicky," added Todd.

She sucked big-time tonight. Once again, the first 10 minutes of her speech were devoted to introducing the oddly-named members of her family, and she conveniently passed over the douchebag who impregnated her underage daughter. How many times do I have to hear her introduce her redneck family? This time, she pulled out her wildcard by noting her parents AND her sister (who also has a mentally disabled child — big shock). YES! — the one thing I was looking forward to was meeting even MORE white trash. I thought the highlight of her speech was when she went after the styrofoam Greek columns on the set of the Dem convention — nothing says "legitimacy" and "content" more than criticizing a stage set. On that note, she should have talked shit about the suits Obama wore and Hillary's pantsuits — criticizing their wardrobe would probably have gotten a standing ovation with this crowd. Seriously, is there any Republican in existence with an IQ over 80, or are they all mentally disabled like Dubya?

Everything I have read says Kay Bailey Hutchinson would rather come home to Texas and run for Governor in 2010. Peggy Noonan explained her comments in her column, and according to her, her statements did not mean what Murphy and others took them to mean.

Well…I must say that every day on here there seem to be more and more supporters of Sarah Palin…So here is the thing…I can't wait to see her debate with Joe Biden! The gloves are off and it's going to be one hell of a race. There are Hillary supporters who feel that there is more to her than just Pro-Life and Anti-gay marriage. They feel that she has a lot to offer women and I am hoping that she can follow through on helping family with members of special needs. At the end of the day, the choice is truly made when the ballot is filled out…GAME ON until then! May the worthy team win!
