What Is John McCain Scared Of?

Filed under: Wacky, Tacky & True > Politik > John McCain > Sarah Palin

palin1.jpg

Is he regretting his V.P. pick?

John McCain pulled out of his interview with Larry King on Tuesday because he didn't like a question posed to one of his top advisors by CNN correspondent Campbell Brown earlier in the day.

No, she didn't bring up Bristol Palin's teen pregnancy.

Brown simply asked the advisor for examples of a foreign-policy decision made by Republican V.P. pick Sarah Palin.

McCain said the questioning was 'over the line'.

Really????????

CNN said it disagreed and it is committed to covering both sides of issues.

Has Johnny boy lost it?!

I think he is just stressed. He could have floated her name a few weeks ago and we would be over the surprises…but he wanted it to be a total surprise and we/he has to deal with this for the next month until the "shock" wears off.

  2. 2

WHO GIVES A FUCK ABOUT FOREIGN-POLICY?
Johnny Mac and Sarah are here to run (and fix) this country.

  8. 8

I saw the interview and I don't think she was over the limit…He just didn't know what to answer and got stuck in the question! It appeared to me that he didn't even know Palin's work at all…

  9. 9

…ok, maybe not 'fix' it, but at least run it. It's Obama's foreign-alliances that really concern me.

  10. 10

That is how the GOP rolls, they do what ever they want and with no consequences. Don't believe this maverick and change he is offering, it is just to get our votes then it's back to the same BUSHism God help us if they win the elections!!!!!

i think we all know the answer to your last question perez.

  14. 14

UGH! Aren't you supposed to be covering celebrities??? You are so biased it sucks. PALIN ALL THE WAY!!!!

  15. 15

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PEREZ READERS - Wake up and look at what McCain would bring to the table - 4 more Bush years! It is the youth of this country that has to bring about change, and you the readers are the future!!! Read up on the issues and the candidates and get educated and then see who is the better person to run our country.

  16. 16

Ok it is this early in the morning and I am getting swarmed with political shit already…I need my fix! I am a celeb gossip junkie and I come here for celeb gossip not politics…Please Perez!!!!!

  17. 17

It's an all out smere attack by the liberal media…DUH!
It's ok for Obama to flaunt his wife and kids all over the place, they aren't old enough to be scandelous…but when Sarah Palin is proud of her baby, she's just using it for publicity, right??? No double standards people…one will do just fine!

  18. 18

Re: williexwhip – I agree. I know that Miss Palin has been catapulted into celebrity status, however, she is STILL a politician. This shit is getting a little old and tiresome. Sorry, but her life doesn't appeal to me as much as Brangie's or Beck's.

  19. Sammy says – reply to this

    19

Sarah has the same issues that most politicians in the history of the US and abroad have had!!!

is it a celebrity or politics site???? stick to one Gayrez!!

  21. Eddy says – reply to this

    21

Yeah, I'm a McCain supporter, and I find this really retarded. Come on McCain, do it and prove those liberals wrong!

Re: KayKay!!! – Hi Kay Kay hold on to your hat today!! It is ugly out!!! I am ready for some celeb gossip too leave the politics to CNN, I want Britney!!!

  23. 23

I don't agree that it's over the line. She doesn't have foreign policy experience, and they haven't hid it. It was just a goading question, only asked because it couldn't be answered. Obama's lack of foreign policy experience is of much greater concern.

  24. 24

    Re: Andy27
I agree with Andy. These two will fix our country. Country first.
Obama scares me. He can't even answer a question without first
studying the question. Someone ask him," what does it mean to you to be president?" ..and he mumbled and couldn't even give an answer to a simple question caused it wasn't staged. He's fake.

  25. 25

saw the interview (while campbell browns voice is shrill) the question was not over the line. The dude obviously didn't know the answer and couldnt dodge the question. The campaign should have prepped him. To cancel with Larry King shows that 1) either mccain has an awful temper or 2) the campaign is having a hard time defending Palins experience.

    26

I'm going to stop coming to this site until after the election. I didn't realize this was an anti-Republican site. I was a Hillary supporter and was disappointed with the way she was trashed. I can't stand seeing it happen to another working mom… and it's making me want to vote Republican more every time I read the trash.

  27. 27

mother fuckers don't think they have to answer anything they don't want to….that's who you want as president?

  28. 28

is it a celebrity or politics site???????? I said stick to one Gayrez!!!

  29. 29

Re: zaniac01 – If he's stressed by an interview… how can he RUN THE U.S.?

  30. 30

Everyone who tells Perez to stop with politics: SHUT UP! There's always at least one of you morons on each of these political posts. In case you haven't noticed, the political posts get the most comments and clicks. The one about the slutty daughter being pregnant got over 1000 comments. So back the eff off

  31. 31

Re: Andy27 – You ARE as DUMB as you LOOK!

  32. 32

Funny part is…she's everywhere!! Perez my love, I think you secretly want to like her…maybe that's why you keep posting all of this instead of celeb gossip…They never should have pulled that McCain commercial with Obama/Britney/Parasite…that's all that Obama is…hype and no experience…wonder how much money Oprah gave him to be able to run? He's just a front for who he is really working for and representing. It's been that way since this country started. Bunch of bull shit. I love being an American…but I don't lie to myself about how this country was actually founded. (Genecide of Native Americans anyone??) It doesn't matter who gets in…none of them are really "FOR" the people… I like McCain and I feel safer with him in office than Obama. It's who can clean up the Bush/Clinton/Bush mess left on the table the best…it ain't Obama, that's for sure.

  33. 33

He's not afraid, CNN is biased. I make it a point to watch MSNBC in the morning, fox in the afternoon and cnn in the evening (when I can, because i have 5 myself). You people drinking your change kool-aid are doing enough blogging and photoshopping that you wouldn't notice that. And no, Barack doesn't have to attack Palin he knows the media that bows to his feet takes care of that for him.

  34. 34

Perez, I'm here for stupid celebrity gossip. Not politics. Enough already.

  35. 35

Ok…Everyone can obviously tell Perez is all for Obama bin laden, but damn…this is a celebrity gossip site!! Enough with the politics! If we want to get into foreign policy….what the hell has Obama bin laden done? Obama is NOT qualified. Democrats talk about change….change what?!

BTW: Campbell was being a royal bitch. She clearly hasn't done her research on Palin. It is clear who she likes and dislikes. McCain has the experience (period). McCain isn't scared. Why doesn't Obama go on any of these shows? You would find out quickly that he is a dumbass who can't carry on a conversation without his notes or cards. He was in the senate 143 days (that is ONE full term) prior to running for President. HE IS NOT QUALIFIED. Sorry folks….he isn't gonna happen.

  36. 36

I love this perez please keep it coming we have to bring them down!!!
    OBAMA/BIDEN 08!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GO TO HELL MCBUSH/PALIN

  37. 37

Fuck, Larry of course, have you seen that lizard lately! Plus he is so old McCain would have to address him as SIR! FUCK LARRY,GIT IN YOUR COFFIN!!!

  38. 38

He should get a spokesperson with some backbone!

And he's old as dirt. He probably just had a senior (angry) moment.

  39. 39

If he's elected, it'll be FOUR MORE YEARS of the same bullshit. Bush took the same stance regarding Iraq, Katrina, etc. The same haughty, "I know what's best and you are going to take it up the ass" policies. I don't know about you guys, but I'm sick of the same rich old white boy establishment. IT'S TIME FOR A CHANGE!!! OBAMA-BIDEN '08!!!!!

  40. 40

Obama pulled out of Biden's ASS last night!

  41. 41

    Re: Andy27

I hope you are still in school. You have alot to learn baby.

  42. 42

Tucker Bounds who did that interview was a blundering idiot and ended up looking like a douchebag. John McCain just got his panty hose in a tangle. And I LOVE that Perez covers some of the scandal in the election, because that Palin biotch is bringing a ton of it.

  43. 43

Dear Republican Voters - Please, please, please THINK about the below:
    -
Brown simply asked the advisor for examples of a foreign-policy decision made by Republican V.P. pick Sarah Palin.
    -
McCain said the questioning was 'over the line'.
    -
    -
Please also think know McCain made could (should?) have choosen Lieberman - who was eloquent last night.
    -
    -
It is very concerning to the Republican Headquarters that McCain did this — and it should be of concer to you, too.

  44. 44

ya, really.. what was that bitch thinking asking about palin's experience. foreign policy?? who needs it????
everyone knows the only thing that really matters in this election is her baby with down syndrome and her teenage daughter's pregnancy
    -_-
i'm seriously considering moving to canada.

  45. 45

    I was typing so fast, errors . . ..

I was trying to say McCain could (should?) have choosen Lieberman — at least that was the general consensus of the GOP - or Romney.
    -
    -
It is of concern to GOP that McCain made an unwise choice for VP — and it should be a concern to Republican voters as well.

  46. 46

Lol…did you even watch the interview, PIGEZ? Well, did you? That idiot "reporter" did not listen to any of Tuckers responses to any of her question…she would shout over him and then tell him he didn't answer her question….the answers that were interrupted by her sorry, biased ass. I would've done the same thing and been just as pissed, as McCain/Palin's camp. Watch it….please….you will see that he answered her question….not the way she wanted it answered, as she didn't want him to compare her experience to Obama (for apparent reasons) then she got pissed and wanted a list of spec of decisions she made as commander of the Alaskan National Guard. She demanded to know specifics regarding her power and control of the National Guard, as she had not done her research on the subject and was not aware that governor's of state command their National Guards. Anyhow, she did not compose herself in a respectable unbiased manner….and expected McCain's rep not to compare the two parties experience (or Obama's lack thereof) in his response…….so, she had to give it up, dumbass liberal reporter!

    47

what's McCain frightened of? well, there's osteoperosis, not being able to open the pickle jar, an icy patch he might slip on and need a new hip for. I could go on…

  48. 48

I'm watching CNN right now, and once again Sarah Palin is discussed. 1 Statement, "I would like to see someone who is a heartbeat away from the Presidency to have some foreign affairs experience." Ok, I'll not disagree. HOWEVER, can someone PLEASE refresh my memory on what experience Barack Obama has, the one who is not just a heartbeat away from the Presidency, but potentially OUR President?! Just in case you need a refresher as well, I'll tell you what Obama said when asked about his foreign policy experience:

He noted his father was from Kenya and that he himself spent part of his childhood in Indonesia. ‘‘Probably the strongest experience I have in foreign relations is the fact I spent four years overseas when I was a child in Southeast Asia,’’

Is that the EXPERIENCE you are looking for in not our VP, but our PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE??

  49. 49

The question itself wasn't inapprorpriate, but things def got heated between Tucker and Campbell Brown and it was pretty contentious and awk. Tucker obcs didn't have a legit answer to the question.. And I love that Perez didn't post the initial interview so that everyone could come to their own decision. Either way, I wish Perez would focus less on politics on this site, or at least if hes going to report on it, don't do it in a stupidly inappropriate and hugely biased way that misrepresents facts or bolsters every crazy unsubstantiated rumor…. Posting photo-shopped pictures without labeling them as such is misleading..I'm tired of seeing him do crap like that, and then have people respond with posts like "wow now I'm not going to vote for her". Theres plenty of other legitimate reasons to decide who you should vote for….letting Perez's fake pictures and impartial reasoning make up your mind for you is sad.

  50. 50

Oh! So questions on REAL issues, not babydaddy drama, are considered to be OVER THE LINE?

  51. 51

Google Sarah Palin - A note from Anne Kilkenny Sep 1, 2008 from the Washington Independent.

Too good to miss. Perez' site won't let you post links, I guess…

  52. 52

These two are so stupid.McCain-Palin are the dullest knives in the drawer. It's funny to watch this train wreck, tonight should be hillarious. As she tries to pimp out her family including her pregnant teen daughter.Great mother that would put her teen daughter through all this embarassing publicity. It's hard enough to be a pregnant teen, but to do it in front of millions. She's a horrible mother and is no role model.

    Obama 08

  54. 54

  55. 55

Re: MilleniumJane – In the SHORT period of time that Obama has been in politics, can you please list for me some of the things he has stood for? McCain has a laundry list of things he has stood for, and continues to do so. I really get annoyed when I hear, "he is just another 4 years of Bush". John McCain is one of the very few in Washington who has put politics to the side to stand up for what he believes is right for this country, regardless of how popular/unpopular his beliefs were. He has proven he can cross party lines to get things done for the better of the citizens of this country. Has Obama displayed his ability to stand on his own convictions, regardless of his political party? No! Why? Mainly because he hasn't been in politics long enough to even begin to stand on his own two feet!! If we are going to talk about experience, let's focus on our Presidential candidates before we focus on the VP candidates. Who is going to be President is MUCH more important!!

  56. 56

    Go, Sarah!

  57. 57

McCain was RIGHT to pull out. Such questioning is done purley to embarrass her and the ticket.
    .
Would anyone ever ask Biden why is he qualified to be VP when he has NEVER held a position of administration? Biden has never governed a municipality or state but you'll never hear the left leaning liberal media ask him ANY question of which would embarass the democrats.

  58. 58

honestly, what did mccain expect? he interviews palin for 15 minutes and picks her to be his VP. he should have picked a better person for the job. that is his fault! what a whiner. we all know he's gonna lose anyway. p diddy was right, mccain is "bugging the fk out"

    Re: Your Buggin
    Post 48
When did Barack ever say he was running on experience? Last I checked McCain made Obama's experience an issue. Obama said we need CHANGE, politics as usual is what is killing this country, our unwillingness to talk to our "enemies", our unwillingness to focus on the true target, Osama and our unwillingness to build back the bridge we destroyed in the UN when Bush chose to go it alone. Obama said we need to focus on our economy, hold business' accountable , rebuilding our infrastructure etc. So don't paint Obama as the candidate that's running on experience b/c he never was.

  63. 63

I think it's crazy that people are on here saying "Who cares about Foreign Policy?" You're a hypocrite. You're on the Republican side and yet who sent our troops to Iraq? How long have we been over there? What exactly are we doing? Last time I checked Iraq was a country that not's not a part of the US therefore it's a foreign nation therefore we're over there meddling and thus involved in FOREIGN AFFAIRS. Republicans put our troops in a FOREIGN country and whomever wins will have to deal with that FOREIGN COUNTRY. Bush put our troops in that FOREIGN country so to say who gives a fuck about foreign policy is basically shitting on our troops b/c whoever wins will have to deal with a FOREIGN nation to get them back here or keep them there. Like duh.

I am no McCain fan but there's NO WAY she was HIS choice. He wanted Lieberman and everybody knew it. His advisors pointed out that without an evangelical whacko on the ticket he couldn't count on his party base. Viola, enter the evangelical whacko from the north who also just happens to sitting on top of ANWR and also just happens to want to drill the shit out of it. Now McCain is stuck defending a stupid choice that he didn't even make.

    Andy27, "WHO GIVES A FUCK ABOUT FOREIGN-POLICY?"

Are you INSANE?! Ever heard of the Cole bombing, ever heard of 9-11, ever noticed that half the world wants to kill us? This is why SOMEONE needs to give a shit about foreign policy and not necessarily in the McCain "bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb Iran" way. You are what's wrong with most Americans.

America, we need to realize the days of the Monroe Doctrine are over thanks to technology and global trade. We do not exist in a vacuum, we are part of a global system and when we sign treaties and interfere in overseas politics aligning ourselves w/ "friends" exposes us to our "friends" enemies and "enemy" attacks. This is why we must make wise, informed decisions and pay attention to world events, world news etc. The BBC is THE MOST TRUSTED WORLD NEWS SOURCE. Stopwatching these party poltics driven stations ad start tuning in to whatthe rest of the world is watching, unbiased news from a reliable proven source. That the REST OF THE WORLD TRUSTS!

  70. 70

She has the same foreign policy experience that Bill Clinton did when he was in charge of that hill-billy state of Arkansas. Is that too hard to understand?? He was a parttime governor and full time skirt chaser- and became president of the good ol USA. If you can be the governor of Arkansas and be president - the same holds true for Alaska and becoming vice president.

  71. 71

What did he think they were going to talk about…football?

  72. 72

Palin's complete lack of Foreign Policy should be of HUGE concern to all of us.
    -
    -
Please remember - this is what John McCain chose - it was a faulty, unwise choice.
    -
    -
Sarah simply is not equipped to run the country. Nor is McCain - again folks — John made this selection as the BEST. I'm sure the republicans wish he'd made a smarter selection.
    -
    -
what does that tell you about him? Very unwise re Palin - and sadly, typical McCain.
    -
    -
This is the John we here in DC know — self-serving to the point on lunacy — John did not like the Republican GOP telling him who to pick - but rather than accept that they likely would pick well - -HE WAS GOING TO SHOW THEM !!!
    -
    -
and look at the result - John was going to "show" the GOP - so he made a stupid choice. This personality is NOT what this country needs.

I have been reading your posts…. I LIKE YOU!

  74. 74

Re: Minx – My post regarding the foreign experience between Obama vs. Palin is based on the question asked to McCain. I believe if we are going to point fingers at the lack of foreign policy experience for our VP candidate, then we should hold our Presidential candidate accountable to the same important standards. On that front, McCain blows Obama out of the water. Palin has a lot of administrative experience that the Democratic Candidates do not have. Look at your own corporations. What is a VP responsible for? Administration. Yes, they always have the ability to become President if something catastrophic were to happen. That being said, can we please discuss Biden a bit more? It seems to me that Foreign Policy should be on the forefront of everyone's mind! Afterall, if we are not right w/ the world, our economy will always be vulnerable, so what are we really fighting for??

  75. 75

He canceled you fat slob because the reporter unfairly tore into on of Mr. McCain's surrogates. More liberal bias from the drive by media.

  76. 76

Funny how the more ground Hussein Obama loses the stupider Fatso Perez gets.

  77. 77

She was a poor choice. Surely he could have done better than that. Obama's choice was awful too. Biden was so annoying when he was first called to the podium I had to change the channel. What' wrong with these people!!?

  78. 78

Re: Minx – Just so you understand, I have yet to choose who I will vote for in this election. It's too early in the campaign & not enough true "Change" talk has come to the table, aside from the catchy phrase anyway! I need to hear much more before I can choose our President who is going to keep us safe, and allow us to again prosper. I'm not choosing the next fad! I couldn't careless if the candidate was black, white, red, or blue. Nor do I care if they are a man, woman, or both! I JUST WANT A CANDIDATE WHO IS THE MOST QUALIFIED TO RUN OUR COUNTRY IN TIS DIFFICULT TIME WE LIVE IN.

Unfortunately, that person was Hillary Clinton, and we all know what happened there! The decision to make this an Obama/McCain fight vs. a Clinton/McCain fight really makes me wonder if allowing the Democrats to decide my future in this troubling time is the wisest thing to do. As much as we all want to ignore the real threats we have on the foreign front, it is there, and it is VERY real! Who is going to best navigate us through these troubling times? A man who has dedicated his adult life to this country by both serving in our military, and in our government, or a man who has only spent a few years doing so on either count? I honestly just don't know!

  79. 79

Re: LULU~* – First of all you moron LuLu John McCain wanted to pick Lieberman for his VP which would've been a horrible choice and would've killed his campaign. Sara Palin is an excellent choice and will bring conservatives like me into his fold. So keep your liberal ideas and ideology out of my party and stick to Hussein Obama's far far left politics. Don't make any decisions for my party thank you.

  80. 80

Re: LULU~* – Don't pretend to know anything about this, as you apparently do not. Study up Lulabelle……It was a concensus that Palin take the nomination from McCain. As her overall experience, in foreign policy, executive legislature, ets. is more than the democratic choice for Exectuive Chief! And she isn't even going to be in command, John McCain is….and he has more exp and know how than everyone on all tickets combined!! So, do you know how horrible it is to give an interview and not have any idea or investigation done into your questioning? She was apparently trying to strike a nerve, and failing to allow a response was part of her technique. I have posted before reagarding the ignorance of democrats, in this presidential race. The lack of experience and know how on Obama's part is evident and your way of tryint to make it "okay" is trying to defame Palin's family and career….it just isn't going to happen! No matter how hard the lefties try, the truth remains…..Obama and Biden suck!

Re: LULU~* – LuLu - with all the dashes you put in your typing you type like Hussein Obama talks. Uh Uh Uh !! UH UH

Re: marilow – Is there not 1 Hillary supporter that is outraged at the fact that 1 of the first things Biden identified as a difference between Palin & himself was that she was "prettier" than he was? That alone should seriously speak loudly. Tell me how the Democrats are not playing politics as usual? Where is the "Change"?? And please people, if I have to hear 1 more time about his giving the money back to the middle class through tax breaks, while taking away from the wealthy, I'm seriously going to lose it. I'm 1 of those "middle class", but I'm not stupid! I do realize that the "wealthy" create jobs that I enjoy working in. You do not believe that if you take tax breaks away from the wealthy it will help us, do you? That additional tax will cost us jobs, therefore that wonderful "tax break" Obama will afford us will not matter. Unemployment will put us in a lower tax bracket anyway!!

Re: PoisonBitchyIvy – You are truly delusional, maybe some of that green dye leaked into your brain. FIX WHAT??!! … mcain has mostly all the same views as bush, or are you that distracted idolizing poison ivy from the batman movie?

  84. 84

Re: Andy27 – Okay seriously?? "Who gives a fuck about foreign policy"??? I wish the clusterfucks who blindly follow McCain would stop and THINK for a minute about how very important foreign policy is — a good number of our once allies now refuse to side with the US over Bush's failure to comprehend that foreign policy affects the United States and potentially leaves us wide open for another attack.

PS - The country you claim the McCain-Palin ticket will "fix" is the same country that McCain's party has destroyed in the eyes of the world over the past 8 years. DUH.

  85. 85

Who gives a f*ck about foreign policy? Only intelligent people who think and care about our country. This is just another example of John McCain's senility. He didn't give this enough thought. How dare a reporter ask a question and expect an answer, that's just over the top! LOL!

  86. 86

Foreign policy is a very important issue … we're not alone on this planet, we need to know about other countries and we're fighting wars - abroad, not here.

Her job was to ask questions, his job was to answer, which he didn't … all he said was: Obama, Obama, Obama. She knew very well what the job of a Commander in Chief of the National Guard is, she knew what the job of the Chief of Staff is. This is what she was after: Republicans hail Palin's position as "Commander in Chief of Alaska" (all Govs are in their respective state) and hail her experience being "Commander in Chief of the National Guard of Alaska", when, in fact, she couldn't have made any important decision(s) aka no experience in that role because there hasn't been the need. Palin wouldn't even be in charge of deploying the National Guard of Alaska, as Campbell pointed out correctly. So, instead of acknowledging that, the dude just handwaved and fluttered around like a headless chicken and McPain got pissed … great presidential move indeed. However, if we're wrong then someone please answer Campbell's question for me, because I really want to know …

Re: Andy27 – OMG you are so stupid. Try thinking with your brain and not your dick. I'm not even going to explain to you why foreign policy is important, because you won't understand it anyway (nor will your stupid and pathetic followers on this site).

  88. 88

Re: Andy27 – Who give a fuck about foreign-policy Andy? A lot of people, and if you actually cared about this election or this country you would too. The only thing McCain will fix is the downfall of this country! How can you be so blind as to ignore the horrible mistakes the current Republican administration has made? McCain will be nothing but more of the same!

  89. 89

Re: Your Buggin – How funny, that is exactly the question that was asked of McCain's mouthpiece in the interview about Palin's experience. He wouldn't answer the question, because he had NO answer.
the big difference here is, Obama can partner with Biden and Biden is a good fit for Obama's obvious lack of experience. However, if McCain dies (and it's not completely unrealistic) this bimbo would be running our Country. I can't believe Repbulican's continue to blindly follow their party, even when they continually make bad choices. They just get all defiant and start attacking the democrats. So silly.

This chick has no no international background and she wants to be a heartbeat away from the office. The old man has had cancer four time you know he is going to bite it in office and there she will be breast feeding and babysitting her new grand kid while her daughter is out boozing again and having the pictures posted on perez! I think she blew her way to the top! Women are not stupid they are not going to vote for her just because a bunch of men want in her pants.

  91. 91

Re: Seriously – Yeah, she won't be in command, UNTIL HE DIES. C'mon people, He's 72, in bad health and the stress of this position would be WAY too much for him. Plus, he's a loose cannon (just read his fellow POW's article on why he's not supporting John McCain for President).
That says it all to me.

Re: Tom993 – UMMMM WHAT?????????? LOL

  93. 93

I saw that interview on TV. Ha! Campbell was totally putting it to him (the question, that is) and he wouldn't — COULDN'T — answer it!! Over and over. Of course!! Cause the fucking broad HAS MADE NO foreign-policy decisions in her life.

  94. 94

    hahahaha
    Obama Biden '08

  95. 95

Must be sooooooooooo hard to be asked a question that you KNOW you can't answer.

PS: LOL about Andy27 "Who gives a fuck about foreign policy?" Ah, what a wunnaful world when people will even endorse a cockroach as long as it agrees with their politics!

  96. 96

Re: Moluver – Ok, let me make sure I'm getting this straight. So we all are aware that our potential President, Obama, will need assistance on the foreign affair front, as he himself has admitted his only experience is his having lived overseas? Therefore, we feel comfortable w/ the idea that he has selected Biden, who is a ripe old age of 65 himself, to brief him in the foreign arena? Mind you, like it or not, foreign affairs is crucial to truly jump starting our economy - - yet, many are ok w/ the idea that Obama needs assistance in this area.

Alright, that being said, your arguement is that McCain is too old, at a ripe old age of 72, he could kick the bucket at any moment! That would leave Sarah Palin, who will have had time already under her belt as a VP mentoring w/ John McCain on these issues, to run our country. OUTRAGIOUS!! But wait… didn't we just say in the paragraph above that it was perfectly acceptable for Obam, our Presidential Candidate, to seek advice in this arena? Therefore, would it not too be acceptable for Palin to do the same, if God forbid, John McCain suddenly keeled over & died, leaving Palin at the helm?

  97. 97

Re: Moluver – And if age is truly such a worry, are you not worried about Biden kicking it here soon too? I mean really, he's only a hop skip away from McCain's ripe old retirement bound age of 72, right??

I'm sorry, but this whole notion that McCain could kick the bucket any day, leaving Palin at the helm, as a good reason not to select McCain is just ludicras to me! McCain has the know how to pull us through this foreign affair fiasco. He has PROVEN integrity, and I think I trust him to do what is necessary to keep our country safe. Thereby, automatically jump starting our economy. We can not take another 9/11 hit. Apparently, many forgot how they felt that day, and how much we have struggled to pull through since! I'm from NY, and have NOT forgotten! We are vulnerable, and we need to get it under wraps before we can ever truly have a flourishing economy again.

  98. 98

Re: Moluver – If one were to say that the Republicans made an error in judgement by allowing someone w/ so little foreign policy experience to become the VP nominee, would we not then have to say the same for the Democrats who gave us a PRESIDENTIAL candidate who is equally lacking in foreign policy experience? Which position is more important? President or VP? Obviously, we all say President. Therefore, which party has made the larger blunder? I'd have to say the Democrats on this one.

btw… I'm registered as an Independent, and have voted for every party at one time or another. Frankly, I couldn't careless about which party the candidate comes from. I'm more concerned about what the candidate has to offer. Given I believe the only real way to fix our economy is to fix our foreign affairs, I'm deeply disappointed w/ the decisions the Democrats have made. Obama simply should not be on this ticket! BUT…. I am not a fan of all of McCain's views either.
So where is the Independent party in all this??? We need more options!! It may be the one time in history that they actually had a chance, if only they would come out of hiding!

  99. 99

    Re: Andy27

Obviously your Candidate McCain who bashes Obama and his lack of experiences in "foreign affairs" you jackass!!!

But that's not what he's afraid of. He's afraid Peter Griffin will take him on a fun ride named in his honor! :)

  100. 100

I think out of all the questions he could be asked about his vp pick, her foreign policy experience would be a very fair question.
