We had a feeling there was more to his story!
The UK's Daily Mail reports that admitted sex addict David Duchovny had been cheating, in a traditional sense, on his wife, actress Tea Leoni.
Leoni is said to have grown suspicious of the Californiacation star's behavior and after questioning him on a number of occasions, he finally admitted that he had been cheating on her.
Duchovny allegedly agreed to seek treatment after Tea threatened to divorce him. According to an insider: "He said Tea gave him an ultimatum: Get treatment or our marriage is over."
What a cad!
Duchovny has previously insisted he has never been unfaithful to Tea, although he recently admitted he had often questioned whether fidelity was possible.
The admitted addict has checked into The Meadows facility in Arizona and is currently completing a 35 day course to help him kick his bad "habits".

I guess I never thought for one minute that he wasn't cheating. The rumors have been out there for at least a couple of years. Usually when a rumor continues for a long period of time and doesn't stop, it is usually true.

Yup it would be cool, it actually is cause they so have, people in the industry talk. Go on the hunt for some recent candid pictures of them and you'll see what I'm talking about. Gillian and David have been on and off for 16 years, and honestly who could blame them, they're HOT people.

I think that whatever he did we need to be respectful of their marriage. I think she is HIS WIFE and that THEY TOOK VOWS. We all aren't perfect and she clearly loves him enough to stand BESIDE HIM DURING THIS ORDEAL. We shouldn't judge them in any way. They were known to have quite a rapport in the beginning. The "prickly" relationship did not begin until around 1997 and, trust me, there are some interesting reasons for that. However, love and hate are not opposites … they are fueled by each other.
Regardless of whether or not David acts like he's too good for Gillian, it seems in reality he thinks she's too good for him. *shrug* They are really complicated. I've just heard the same things from so many people, and seen enough on my own, that I truly am stunned this story has largely been kept under wraps.

Yup I most definitely I have seen my share of encounters with those two, especially when I worked on the Fox lot, and let me just say they were more than just co-stars.
As to why there is no shred of evidence or pictures, there has been but people are usually inclined not to believe it because of the magazines it is printed on and sometimes the celebrity/celebrities involved strike deals with the photo agencies for exclusives if they don't want certain things on print. Has anyone seen that lately People always gets the exclusive when it comes to David and Gillian? Thats why its been hard.
Let me tell you there is so much stuff out there and if it ever comes out everyone will be floored, lets just say that not only have they been having this relationship on and for 16 years, they share three very adorable things in common.

In terms of the paparazzi, I don't know what they have or don't have. I have heard that they do have photos, but from what I know the two actors in question have very hardcore lawyers keeping this at bay. [For something of this caliber, the stars' lawyers would have to be contacted before the story runs and at that time there are several ways to keep the story out of the press.] All I can say is, the matter of the affair is not speculative. I have seen with my own eyes not only [personal] photos but highly questionable interaction. I also find it doubtful that the various first-hand stories I've heard from a range of people in this business, all of which correlate to the others, are coincidence.
These two are good people and I really do hurt for them. That seems to be the general consensus and perhaps that is why people talk but nobody would ever offer hardcore proof to the outside world. [Just in case you're wondering, Perez, neither would I.
] They've been through a lot and I hope nobody ever knows most of what has happened. However, the notion that this is not going on or that he has been faithful to his wife [his former co-star is not his only betrayal] is so far from the truth.

Aah, I know!! Speaking for myself, there is so much to tell and obviously with this present story it is VERY tempting to tell all … but a lot of what happened should never have even really reached my ears [and I definitely should not have seen what I've seen]. For me personally, I think I've said as much as I'm comfortable with. I know that's so frustrating. Divulging anymore would seriously betray the trust of those around me. I will say that "nevergonnagetit" hasn't said anything that I haven't heard myself, including the three things in common. As for separate continents, we are discussing two people who travel for work and who find ways to be in the same part of the world at the same time … so yeah. There's that.

What they have has always been ongoing, it just depends on them really. They have a very complicated relationship, but there is love and respect there too. This has not only been told to me by people who are close to them but from my own personal experiences with them as well. I know that there is doubt and honestly I don't know what I could say that would make that go away, I can just share what I have already posted here and you can draw your own conclusions from that.

As far as I know, it's an ongoing thing and will continue to be as such. It's not continuous, of course, but it never really ends. It's a complicated situation between two very complicated people. They are both wonderful people who don't intend to hurt others with this "affair" [that word just doesn't even seem proper to describe what they have], they're just drawn to one another in a very powerful way. Perhaps that doesn't make sense to most, but it is what it is.
is tea aware of it? and is that the reason he's gone to rehab. The more I read this the more I believe it as I've heard it from so many sources
