You know you've made it big when others start making covers of your songs. But this remix is a bit different.
It seems that the people at a church in Blacklick, Ohio, aren't too thrilled with Katy Perry's catchy I Kissed A Girl song.
So…..they've decided to change it up a bit.
The Havens Corners Church now has a sign outside with the new lyrics they've added to the song.
It says, "I kissed a girl and I liked it" and adds, "Then I went to hell."
The church pastor, Rev. Dave Allison, says that the sign is intended as "a loving warning to teens" since the Bible states that homosexuality is a sin.
He did admit that the sign has confused some people who don't know the song or get the message.
Guess Katy isn't that big in Ohio.

its a harmless song…and if God says homosexuality is a sin….then its a sin…but God also is the supreme judge, and when other people judge others…thats just as bad as being a girl and kissing a girl….which i find nothing wrong with…its not a sexual relationship…

That's bullshit. I think real Christians don't bully or criticize, much less judge, other people and their sins. I'm gay and with a 300% Christian mother and she's got to be the most nices, non-judgemental, all-embracing woman, ever. She loves me, my boyfriends, my gay friends — everyone. She doesn't feel it's right, and is quick to admit that she believes it's wrong, but never tries to market any of her beliefs to people. She respects boundaries and knows to respect people and love them as they are. For them to post these signs is just another example of idiotic bullying. Not very Christian-like, in my opinion.
