She was brilliant in executing an absolutely amazing speech. I am definitely more of a liberal when it comes to politics, but believe my vote has changed. I love Obama and believe he carries himself very well and is a man of great dreams and inspirations. He just doesn't have the qualifications to be President of our great nation at this time. We are in a heap of shit right now and we need someone with experience to get us back on solid ground. I honestly believe after reading up on both President elects that McCaine is more than qualified and capable in doing so. Obama just doesn't have the experience and pretty much holds a less than solid resume.

I was surprised at how good it was! It will defenitely keep us watching, but personally (my opinion don't have to agree everyone!) McCain's stance on the War is the deal breaker for me.

It started off kind of weak, but by the end it was very impressive. I love all the controversy. I'm really warming up to her. I definitely don't think it's what you're aiming for Perez, but all of your trashing has been great publicity. I love it. More Palin!

Where was the diversity in the audience?!! I'm from Minneapolis, which is pretty diverse and I only saw white, older republicans….NOT representative of our country at all.
I think Sara Palin and her new advisors and handlers think they are so slick! If you noticed when she and her family were first introduced to all of us she didn't hold her supposed baby once, neither did her husband. Why not??? Her daughter Bristol did. She held the baby the entire time. Now that all of this speculation is happening Sara comes out holding the baby and her husband held him as well. They didn't let Bristol anywhere near the baby. The second oldest daughter held him when her mother and father weren't. I also love how all of a sudden the baby daddy Levi needs to show his face as well! My theory is that Bristol is NOT pregnant right now. I think they are faking her pregnancy to make it seem like Sara is not covering up for her irresponsible wild child. Then when it is closer to the due date they will say there was complications, or something happened and the baby didn't make it. Then Sara will continue to front as if the baby is hers and Bristol will continue to care for the child behind closed doors.
Perez I think your great for posting the political stuff too! I think young Americans need to become way more involved and aware of what's going on with our government. If we continue to focus on celebrities, and reality TV our country is going to continue it's downward slide and the next thing we know we will no longer be the prosperous powerhouse we once were.
It is very easy to stand up in front of your home base of fellow Republicans and read a speech that was four days in the making. It is easy to read a TelePrompTer and smile. I am very disappointed that she spent a major portion of her speech slamming the Obama/Biden ticket, more specifically Obama's community organization experience. Any American that serves their community is doing a great deed. She did not once bring light to real issues, such as the economy and national security; instead she embarrassed her party further by slandering Barack and Biden. The debates are this month, her and Johnny boy better study up on the economy! Neither Palin or Mccain have Masters or Juris Doctor's degrees, they will simply do what Bush did and listen to their cabinet members instead of calling upon history and a book once in a while!
Sarah Palin has done alot for Alaska in a short amount of time. You guys should read more about the things she has done and not just judge her because her daughter is pregnant. Alot of people are so blinded by the fact that this is turning into a race / gender issue. HELLO. Read their credentials. McCain obviously is more prepared for office than Obama. Not that I don't think he would do a good job, I just think McCain is more ready than he is.

No doubt McCain has served his country well. However he is getting old, and Palin stands a good chance of being President when and if McCain can`t continue. In Europe however we are all pretty much hoping and praying Obama wins it. But if I where to bet, Id say the republicans will win. If Bush could get reelected, McCain can certainly win.

This actually made my stomach churn- she is NOT qualified to be VP of this amazing country. Just because she has a great speech writer, can remember her lines, and doesnt have intense public speaking disabilities like Bush doesn't mean she can be VP! If that were true, a lot of 5th graders could be VP….actually they'd make a nice replacement for her since at that age they know what's right and wrong.
Shot-gun wedding woman with a teenage daughter pregant is one thing…but when the mom vetoed sex ed for the state she is only in her first term of running… red flags should go up. Someone obviously has a hard time learning. Regurgitating lines she can do, but a failure to see (obvious) connections and admit when you're wrong is a fatal flaw– Bush only just KIND OF learned the latter.

She did not impress me, and she sure did sound like an inexperienced hockey mom while speaking. btw, i could care less if she was on the PTA or whatever. see in the REAL world, mothers have to work for their family and do not have the time to join the PTA. so she really needs to stop trying to be a voice to mothers or whatever shes trying to pull. Comparing herself to Obama was a low to compare herself to a community organizer who purpose to help the community and fight for the community is what i feel makes Obama more worthy as President. I would chose a community organizer who is in touch with the hard working Americans over a former mayor of a small town, in which i have never heard of, and a current governor of a state that's population is smaller than San Francisco.

I think she proved that she is still a very good beauty queen. Her speech was carefully constructed for her to pause at just the right times for her to inject just the right expression to capture the crowd. I also think she came across as very smug and abrasive. I too come from a small town near a major metropolitan city but I can't relate to her at all. It seemed to me that she feels that unless you live in a small town you don't have any idea of what morals and values are. I'll admit that she appears to be a very intelligent woman, but her repeated nasty sarcasm was inappropriate, especially when this was the time for her to let us know her stand on the important issues facing this country right now. She may think there's a difference between hockey moms and pitbulls, but tonight she just sounded like a pitbull with lipstick.

Honestly Bush & his congress left so many problems that I think it doesnt matter who wins, it will take far more than four years to fix them. There was no substance to her speech. I know way too much about her family, John McCain can speak for himself and the media can handle the tacky jabs at their opponents. We know where she stands on guns, abortion and gay rights, but where does she stand on the other important issues such as trade, immigration, Social Security and Medicare? This was her turn to show us what she stands for. She seems like a sharp woman and a good person, but those aren't the qualities I vote for. More substance, less rhetoric! Guess we'll have to wait for the VP Debates to see every one's cards.
At first I thought she was good, she said some good things, nice and flowery, but does she have the experience to back it up? And the proof. Then after a while she started taking some cheap shots at her opponents, ok that's fair enough, then she kept on taking those cheap shots and I was thinking geez stick to the issues woman! She started to really annoy me after that and by the end I was left with a bad taste in my mouth. Oh and when she said she would drill for oil in Alaska and build more nuclear energy I almost choked! I feel bad for Alaska, such a beautiful place will now be a ruined, it's a shame it belongs to the US really, it deserves to be it's own country and have the people there look after it how it should be looked after, not to suit big business agendas. To surprise people. If this were the speech of a male governor of Texas there would be no surprise and it would be considered a mediocar speech.
