There were a lot of curious Americans!
According to preliminary estimates, Sarah Palin's speech at the Republican National Convention on Wednesday night scored a higher rating than Hillary Clinton and 'in some cases' higher than Barack Obama.
Yup, more peeps watched the governor from Alaska than Hills!
The preliminary numbers show about 37 million households were tuned in to see the GOP's VP candidate speak.

she may be "popular" now, but it won't last too long… people will see through her scripted speeches, blatant lies, and total inexperience. Mayor of a 5,000-populated town in fricken ALASKA?? right. that's real experience there. the fact is, she has ZERO foreign policy experience, and can't even address the issues that matter to our country, like health care and education. all she can talk about is being a lipsticked-pitbull (aka, hockey mom). please. she says her family is off limits to the press, and yet she wants to limit every woman to losing the right to abortion? What a hypocrite. I was on the fence, but now I am pro-Obama/Biden all the way.

Give it a rest, people. Sarah Palin has done a WONDERFUL job for Alaska - and I should know, I live here. She's said what she's done and done what she said she's do. I'm not a McCain fan, but this country would do well to have Sarah Palin in office. Like most Alaskans, she's a no bull shit person, no masks, tells it like she sees it, etc. Seems like people in the Lower 48 just don't know how to deal with someone like this. Come on up to Alaska & learn how - - - most of us are just like that.

People were curious about her. That's the only reason I watched. I did like her, but is she some uber conservative? She looks like Karen from Will & Grace.
The 60% + conservative families in American relate to her. She came into politics with no connections, no famous father or husband, no financing, no mentor. and didn't portray herself as a victim but as a straight shooter who can be tough when called upon. While at home she was a wonderfu mother and wife, working with the family business and the PTA. Then she took on big business and big oil and won. Everything she has done she excelled in!! People of this country she much of themselves in the spirit, drive and intellegence of Palen.

The problem for Democrats is that most Americans don't live in big cities and don't identify with the intellectualist elites/elitists who flock there. To them, her experience as Alaska's mayor will be powerful and convincing. With them, the perception that she is a "regular" American will resonate - they are tired of intellectuals and Washington insiders running the country and want a change THEY can believe in. The McCain/Palin ticket is just that.
Poignant, classy, independent, confident and all around AWESOME!!! She united the Party. The Dems party is falling apart. Obama made a mistake not nominating Hillary. He picked an old white guy!!! AND LIBERALS BITCH ABOUT MCCAIN BEING OLD!!!???
