According to preliminary estimates, Sarah Palin's speech at the Republican National Convention on Wednesday night scored a higher rating than Hillary Clinton and 'in some cases' higher than Barack Obama.
Yup, more peeps watched the governor from Alaska than Hills!
The preliminary numbers show about 37 million households were tuned in to see the GOP's VP candidate speak.

People were curious about her. That's the only reason I watched. I did like her, but is she some uber conservative? She looks like Karen from Will & Grace.
The 60% + conservative families in American relate to her. She came into politics with no connections, no famous father or husband, no financing, no mentor. and didn't portray herself as a victim but as a straight shooter who can be tough when called upon. While at home she was a wonderfu mother and wife, working with the family business and the PTA. Then she took on big business and big oil and won. Everything she has done she excelled in!! To them, her experience as Alaska's mayor will be powerful and convincing. What isn't an inaccuracy is that Obama's experience is only as a community organizer…and anyone from Chicago knows what she said last night is true! BTW, while you're checking facts on Palin, check into Barack Obama's relationship with William Ayers and Tony Rezko! That makes for some very interesting reading as well.

Palin believes in scrapping the teaching of the theory of evolution and substituting the notion of "creationism" exclusively in public schools. She won't support sex ed in schools, and believes that abstinence is all that kids should learn about safe sex practices. (Which obviously worked oh-so-well for herself and her daughter, both enjoying shotgun weddings before even having the right to vote.) Palin's idea of foreign policy experience is living in the state closest to Russia………..People are just curious to figure out how this is going to win the female vote? What a publicity stunt!

I'm not a Republican, but the response of the Associated Press wasn't really enough to convince that Palin's speech contained lies. In fact, most of the AP's responses didn't really tackle what they wanted to dispose of as lies. I got surprised when you just "rode" on the "The Facts" presented by the AP, Perez.

We've heard Obama and Hillary speaking and debating for 18 months. Nobody knew Palin from Adam, so why wouldn't people be interested in what she has to say. I fail to see the point in this story.
I didn't have to watch the RNC, in order to know what was going to be said, or promised. It's the same shit that EVERY politician has said/promised for as long as I have been alive, which is 43 years. The very first politician, that I have ever seen on TV, was Nixon…and, according to him, he was "not a crook". Yeah, right.
The fact remains…they are NOT going to overturn any programs, that are already on the books….such as Roe V. Wade, Medicare and Social Security….they would be faced with anarchy, if they did. Now, if the new administration chooses to alleviate the yearly increases to SS, who knows? I wouldn't doubt it, if they did.

Today during a press conference Sen. Obama addresses the issue of GOP mocking community service. If anyone had a doubt about him fighting back…game on.
When asked about the attack on his job as community organizer he asked what his opponents are fighting for if community service is something to be scoffed at.
In reference to the sexist media fiasco Sen. Obama said that he was sure that Gov. Palin wanted to be treated like everyone else. He basically said that everyone’s record is scrutinized when running for public office.
When asked why he was not addressing her attacks his reason…he is running against John McCain and not the VP.
